Lessons Learned: Knakal Knuggets - #50: Everything you do creates a personal brand.
In the real estate brokerage business, regardless of what firm you work for, everything you do creates an impression of you by others, and that impression creates a brand. Yes, the firm has a brand and a reputation, but so do you! And yours will stick with you regardless of where you are working.
Everything we do creates impressions and impacts the way people perceive us. The way we speak, the way we dress, the way we interact with people, what we eat, what we drink, the materials we send out to folks, and the people we work with, especially our partners—everything we do creates those impressions. So it is important to be conscious of how we are interacting with people, who we are associating with, and the way we carry ourselves.
Some of the famous quotes on personal brand include:
“If you are not branding yourself, you can be sure others do it for you.”
“Your personal brand is what people say about you when you are not in the room.”
“Your personal brand is a promise to your clients...a promise of quality, consistency, competency, and reliability.”
"The keys to branding success are self-definition, transparency, authenticity, and accountability.”
John Jantsch is credited with saying, “Personal branding is the art of becoming knowable, likable, and trustable.”
Lots to be learned from these quotes. But it is also important to be genuine and to present yourself honestly.
As Oscar Wilde has said, “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”

How to legally pay $0 income taxes even with a high paying W-2 job💰:
1. Buy a property to operate as a short-term rental.
2. Perform a cost-segregation study.
If your average guest stay for the calendar year is less than 7 nights, it is no longer considered a “traditional rental” in the eyes of the IRS.

Scaling a Multifamily Investment Company is Hard Work, In this video with @jcasmon we share tips Beginners in Real Estate can use to Scale Quickly! 🏡
CRE suffered it’s first price decline since 2011. Some will see this as a sign that great deals are around the corner. I’m cautiously optimistic about opportunities, but I don’t expect to see “blood in the streets” despite this news.

“When you think you’re done, you're only at 40% of what you’re capable of doing.”
—David Goggins
The comedian Dane Cook has a great bit about how we find comfort in saying “I did my best.” Like any great joke, it’s funny because it’s true—we’re experts at justifying our failures.
It’s a protective mechanism for our psyche…
but
…it needs to be kept in check.
When you think you’re at your limit—in a project, a relationship, or an athletic pursuit—ask yourself if you’ve really done your best… or if it’s time to set aside the excuses and dig deeper.
This video is one of my favorite examples.
It would have been easy for Healther Dorinden to give up and say “I did my best”. Nobody would have faulted her. After all, it’s “impossible” to recover from a fall in a short 600m race.
But it turns out that she was capable of far more than she—or anyone else—thought.
And she only found out because she put in the effort.
