Emailed an org VP after seeing his team featured in a company meeting. Would he be willing to keep me in mind for opportunities? "How 'bout we talk tomorrow." Wow. Good timing (and a little courage) can help you find the door, but your reputation might be the key that opens it.

I have a new role in my 9th year with eBay -- a Quality Program Manager for our Marketing Technology team. I report directly to the MTech VP in our Bellevue office, though I'm still based in San Jose (for the time being).

My brother (@jamesmarcusbach) will be holding a rare public testing class in Bellevue, WA this August. I plan to be there, too, since it's just a few blocks from eBay's Bellevue office. satisfice.com/events/rapid-s…

Saw a web form today with a required field for "School" listing 530 hardcoded universities. Ugh. Scrolled down, but my university was not listed. No write-in option or Other selection, either. Bad design, or am I missing something?

No matter how careful I was in looking, inattentional blindness caused me to miss the correct option -- listed in the S section of course ... as "- School not specified". Given the prefixed hyphen, why wasn't it at the top before the A's? No databinding during pre-sort?

Got an email titled “Test 4” (subject line and body) from a company whose product I used to use. Looks like it came from their CRM system. For my testing colleagues, what’s your most creative response?

Well done, @MikeyMcBryan! I love the documtary genre and I have a feeling this could be an instant classic. The game is the star, but you’re the humble hero.

Wow! It is rare to see such keynotes. I am reminded of what @jbtestpilot and I did in #CPHContext a while ago. This is going to be very exciting. Is there a live streaming or a video posted after the conference? xitter.cf/AgileTDUSA/status/1000…
Is the gig economy dead? And has a *subscription* economy taken its place? I like how Franz has analyzed one of the rationales of XOTV, and I'm glad to be one of the first content producers on the platform. xitter.cf/XOTV_/status/100448800…

New project with my *other* cool brother, the airline captain. Using a new platform called XOTV.me (@XOTVLive), we've created a channel called "Air Time with Cpt. Rob" where I ask him questions about air travel: xotv.me/channels/17-air-time…
