The culture of a school is created by everyone in the school. Walk in a school and see how the front office interacts with visitors or the staff /teachers interact in the hallway. Yes, the admin influences culture, but everyone is responsible for a positive school culture.

Absolutely agree… and if possible feed them. If they can still get a breakfast or lunch- make it a priority over rushing into class. Basic needs met first then learning will happen #mschat #whatstudentsneed

Normalizing stress and anxiety but talking about how people feel when asked to complete a task they are uncomfortable with is a daily task. It shows that no one is alone & they belong to a community of caring #mschat

ALT When a student feels anxiety about your subject area, what’s a go-to strategy for shifting their experience?
A1: you must as a leader know & serve the needs of your staff, students, & community. So often leaders say things about connecting but do not take the time to know their students and staff. If you can’t look &know something about what that person values you can’t connect #satchat

A2: Darth makes decisions & ensures they are followed. While I may not agree with his methods- as a school leader making decisions and having follow through to see they happen is needed. If you have ever worked under indecisiveness or lack of fidelity- you know #satchat
A2. Because he is a Sith, Darth speaks in absolutes, which R limiting & ultimately cruel. That has been the biggest lesson 4 me as a leader. Don't view the school world as this vs. that. Don't reinforce limiting binaries. Ex: Teacher vs. student. We are all learners. #satchat
