There’s a soul sickness in our state when Tennessee Republican legislators are more concerned with protecting gun manufacturers from lawsuits, than children from being killed by mass shootings.
We said, protect children not guns— they choose the guns.
This is morally insane.

If I paid $170k for my house, and 6 yrs later a similar home next door is selling for $400k, for tax purposes my value shouldn’t jump dramatically. I’m just living here, puttering around.
Good for the sellers, and great tax revenue, too.
But why should we HAVE to keep up?

I guess it shouldn't surprise me after 4 years of it under Trump, but amazed how poorly our media is doing covering the search of Mar-a-Lago, with their both-sideism and being a megaphone for Trump's grievance messaging. It's truly shameful. They have apparently learned nothing.

Expecting #Ukraine to capitulate and @ZelenskyyUa to give land to Putin feels so wrong. Ukraine didn’t start the war - Putin did. He must be forced to negotiate, to withdraw troops, to stop. Otherwise, the world rewards imperialism and encourages others to invade sovereign nations

This extreme decision came to be because of an extreme court with no legitimacy:
1. Roberts and Alito were appointed by George W. Bush after SCOTUS stopped the counting of votes in Bush v. Gore.
2. Scalia died then McConnell denied Obama the constitutional right to his pick.

Price for a barrel of oil today: $117.59
Price for a barrel of oil in 2014: $120.45
So why are gas prices 2 dollars higher per gallon today than they were in 2014?
Because Big Oil corporations are hiking prices to rake in record-setting profits.

“The true heroes are teachers…who show up to school in these dark times. They show up, knowing a school shooting could happen where they work. They show up despite a lack of fortitude from Texas lawmakers to even contemplate gun safety laws.” — @ExpressNews editorial – at San Antonio, TX
They don't trust teachers with books or history, but they want them to carry guns. Texas’ problem is lax gun laws, not its schools. Our latest: expressnews.com/opinion/edit…
