The thing is, I see so much of the like, subscribe, comment stuff it really puts me off requesting it and pushing the same message. It feels cheap and slightly fake 🤷🏼♂️💚
“It’s free to like…” but is it? I’m not so sure. You like and subscribe, it takes a moment of time, not a lot. But that’s a cost. A cost in time and effort. It changes your algo and what you see, costing more time and effort, potentially 😐💚
It is really valuable to creators. It truly is. We can see the impact on our visibility when we get listens/watches, comments, follows/subs and likes 💯💚
I don’t want to call anyone’s time and effort free because it isn’t. Time is irreplaceable and effort takes time to recuperate. At the same time, I want our podcast to grow because we believe it has value to offer 🫡💚
Our podcast is a conversation. Not a debate, not an argument, not a demolition of our opposition, or a destruction. It’s a conversation about a topic, and the best thing is that there are no interruptions, because everything is recorded on a voice note 📱💚
A lot of digital/online content seems to make everything about what side you are on and we think that is damaging to society😑💚
Jay and I, through Voice Notes Suck, are asking why, not picking sides. Finding out why something is a certain way, or why someone feels a different way 🧐💚
We want to explore the nuance, not decide someone is our enemy because they disagree. And we sincerely hope we can encourage others to want to do the same thing 🙏💚
