This is a fun / geeky project I've been working on for a bit. I was trying to evaluate which speech-to-text services (Google, AWS, Azure, Whisper, etc.) performed best & wasn't super happy with Word Error Rate as a benchmark.
So I made up a new one.

I don't know why people treat the Free Press like anything other than a hate site that comforts the billionaire class in their prejudice. This is not some intellectual contrarianism it is absolute far right garbage.
Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed gave his victory speech in Arabic last night. Rep. Ilhan Omar addressed her victory party in Somali.
And this morning, Iran's supreme leader posted that America's collapse "has accelerated."
What should we make of these acceptance speeches? @SulkinMaya
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Apart from his own name spoken idiomatically with Arabic pronunciation, Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed used four Arabic words in his victory speech, which represents 0.27% of the words he spoke.

People will be intentionally obtuse about this forever but if pro-Pakistan or pro-India lobbying groups spent hundreds of millions of dollars in our elections there would be interest in politicians’ stances on those countries
Replying to @jbarro
Imagine if senate races involved bitter fights over how to manage the intractable India-Pakistan conflict. Everyone would see that’s insane. And that’s a conflict between two countries that account for nearly a quarter of world population.
and yes I’m a broken record xitter.cf/jaypinho/status/158847…

One reason that some establishment Dems are wary of Abdul is that he is a talented, brilliant, and dogged politician who will be a nationally impactful Senator.

This is AIPAC’s “democratic” front group. Reminder the vast bulk of AIPAC money comes from a handful of GOP billionaires. Lost in all this is that El Sayed’s Israel position is the SUPER MAJORITY Dem position. All he did, his only sin, was LISTENING TO ACTUAL DEMOCRATIC VOTERS.
Please don’t blame @HaleyforMI for appearing with @MikeRogersForMI this morning. This is all on El Sayed. Period. He has had chance after chance to do what’s right. He did not. I don’t know who is running his campaign, but WOW that person and El Sayed sure failed. They possibly cost us @TheDemocrats the Senate.
