Federal SNAP rules say undocumented illegal aliens are not supposed to get food stamps in their own name. That never stopped the mixed-household game. U.S. citizen kids can still qualify, and an illegal alien parent can apply for those kids while the household eats on the card.
So, the agents cuff the man who was never supposed to be here, and the benefit pipeline that fed the household is how the country got played. Thanks to ICE this ended in Lakewood, New Jersey this week.
