Dude, you're not Martin Luther King. You are, in fact, a moneyed white person. One who made his money from an allegorical film depicting both political parties as equally bad on climate change; a claim that is harmful to climate action. The call is coming from inside the house.
Adam McKay says "no group is worse" for America and its politics than "white liberals":
“We are being hit with the high-grade marketing and no group is worse than white liberals. I mean, they are the worst. I’ve tried to talk to them about climate, they are so smug and captured. And it boils down to privilege. I mean, when you talk to white moneyed liberals, they’re getting a lot from this broken system.”

Hell, I would love a report. I don’t have a damn thing to hide.
But while some folks were obsessing over a report most Americans will never read or care about, Black voters in the South were staring down the possibility of losing voting power for generations.
This may not be a priority for some people. But as a Black man from the South, this is about my existence. It’s about the environment in which I’m raising my sons. It’s about whether my children grow up in a state and a country that sees them as equal citizens whose voices matter.
This is personal to me.
This is about survival.
We are months away from what I believe are the most important midterms of my lifetime. The Democratic Party cannot afford distractions, vanity projects, or circular firing squads while the fundamental rights and representation of Black Americans are under attack.
History is watching all of us. Release the damn thing after the midterms but before the presidential elections, but in this moment we must FOCUS!

Since you have sent me to Congress, I have written 19 bills that have become law. My GOP opponent doesn't even have a single plan listed on his website.
I have always fought for Illinoisans and have the track record to prove it. The difference could not be more obvious.

Fetterman was not the “vote blue no matter who” candidate in that election.
As a matter of fact, the base of the party, BLACK PEOPLE, were very vocal about not supporting him and you didn’t listen then.
Now look at your sorry asses. Can’t even claim your own mistakes.

Next President should take away the honors given to Babbit and demote her as well as change her status to dishonorable discharge.
“Honoring Babbitt …blurs the line between lawful sacrifice and unlawful violence. It tells those who gave their lives in defense of the Constitution that their oath was no more meaningful than the motivations of the mob that attacked the Constitution.”

Since y’all are so mad that CHP is covering Kamala Harris’ security let me inform you that there are vets of all backgrounds volunteering to do the job and regular Americans in their comments offering to watch their kids and water their plants while they do.

62 years ago, Dr. King led the March on Washington with giants like John Lewis, Mahalia Jackson, A. Philip Randolph, and so many others.
If you’ve ever wondered what you’d be doing during the Civil Rights Movement, this is your test. Right now, in 2025, we all have an opportunity to honor their legacy by defending our democracy like our lives depend on it. Because they do.

Sen. Patty Murray is calling for RFK Jr. to be fired.
"We cannot let RFK Jr. burn what's left of the CDC and our other critical health agencies to the ground—he must be fired."
"I hope my Republican colleagues who have come to regret their vote to confirm RFK Jr. will join me in calling for his immediate termination from office."

It shouldn't be up to American children to save each other from getting shot.
It's the job of American adults to stop shootings from happening in the first place.
Ban assault weapons again now.

The beginning of a new school year should be filled with excitement and anticipation. But today, it was marred by yet another act of senseless gun violence.
The students, teachers, and community of Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis now share a traumatic experience that has affected far too many Americans. I spoke with Governor Walz this afternoon to share Doug and my grief for the families impacted and our gratitude for the first responders and law enforcement on the scene.
Mayor Jacob Frey said it clearly: "Don't just say this is about thoughts and prayers right now. These kids were literally praying."
We know the solutions. Our leaders must have the courage to act to stop these tragedies.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey: "Anybody who is using this as an opportunity to villainize our trans community or any other community out there has lost their sense of common humanity. We should not be operating out of a place of hate for anyone. We should be operating out of a place of love for our kids. Kids died today. This needs to be about them."

No parent should ever have to bury their child. Jill and I are heartbroken and there are simply no words to adequately mark such a horrific and painful moment. With all our hearts, we are praying for the victims, their families, and the community of Minneapolis.
BREAKING: Two children were killed and 17 people injured in a shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school, police said. The shooter is also dead. apnews.com/article/minneapol…

A lot of white men who think they’re progressive are bitter racists. Their daddies & granddaddies were better off. Mediocrity was ok because as white men, they came out on top. They hate equal opportunity & real competition. So they harp on class & denigrate race consciousness.

Spoke with @andersoncooper @AC360 about how Lisa Cook has a strong case against Trump's corrupt attempt to fire her
The Supreme Court has been clear about the independence of the Fed
If rule of law means anything, Cook should have the upper hand

With Sen-elect Drey’s DECISIVE win tonight @TheDemocrats BREAK the Republican supermajority in the Iowa Senate.
Congratulations Catelin!!!!
A statement from IDP Chair Rita Hart on tonight’s special election win in SD-1:

ALT Navy blue background with a light blue line across the top and bottom of the graphic. At the center of the top line there’s light blue quotations. White text at the center reads, “For the fourth special election in a row, Iowa voted for change. Catelin Drey will listen to the people, not the powerful, get our economy growing, and bring down costs for families. Christopher Prosch and Iowa Republicans spent over $180,000 on this race while Democrats from all over Iowa came together to give money, knock doors and write postcards. Our state is ready for a new direction and Iowa Democrats will keep putting forward candidates who can deliver better representation for Iowans. ––Rita Hart, IDP Chair".
