I'm a designer, engineer and entrepreneur, and I've been building companies for the last 20+ years. I love living in Sweden, and I love what our taxes give me and my fellow Swedes.
Hi. 😊 Swedish dude here. When our children get sick, we have 60 paid days per year to stay home with them. Per parent. They're separate from my 25 paid vacation days. Meaning I don't have to use my own paid sick leave. If I'm a single parent: 120 days. If my child has a chronic illness: 120 days If my child is hospitalized: unlimited days. These days reset every January. By law. every year until child is 18. Follow for more glimpses into life in a social democracy, where dignity is not a privilege. Peace ✌🏼

14/100 I had to jump into this train, porting old games into newer platform is becoming easier and cheaper than ever with AI, would love to see @Nintendo or @PlayStation doing original, modern remakes! PD: I own an original copy of the N64 game.

How to ship a perfect 1.0 release ✨
We've shipped more than a thousand versions of Zed, but all of them began with zero. Today, that changes. zed.dev/blog/zed-1-0

Today we at Playbit are sharing our first iteration of the Playbit runtime, our vision for building playful personal-scale software. playbit.app/ Personal-scale software means programs by you, for you and for the people in your life. An app for your friends isn't very useful if only some of them can run it, so usually these projects have only one option: the web, an abstraction which many apps don't fit well into. We wanted a better solution, so that's what we're building. A runtime designed for highly dynamic graphical apps that are collaborative, with a really good set of developer tools. The Playbit runtime is a bit like an OS, but lives inside a host environment and gives guest code a small system layer to interface with. In practice it’s a minimal ABI-stable syscall interface with well-defined semantics. While we only support macOS in this initial release, our vision is for a powerful multimedia and collaborative platform which you can write your app for once, and run it on any platform. Learn more and grab the macOS app at playbit.app/ With love and a bit of code, – Edward, Nick, Julia and Rasmus

Everyone’s missing the real story here. xAI didn’t beat competitors by moving faster. They beat them by ignoring the rules competitors follow. The 122-day Colossus buildout? Powered by 35 unpermitted gas turbines that the EPA just ruled yesterday were operating illegally. The company exploited a local loophole classifying trailer-mounted generators as “nonroad engines” exempt from Clean Air Act permits. They ran those turbines for over a year in South Memphis, a majority Black neighborhood where cancer risk is already four times the national average. The “city-level power” comparison in the tweet is accurate. xAI essentially built a 422 MW power plant in a residential area without any environmental review, public notice, or pollution controls. The Shelby County Health Department only permitted 15 turbines. xAI operated 35. While OpenAI and Anthropic are waiting 12-24 months for grid connections and permits at their Stargate and Rainier facilities, xAI discovered you can move faster if you simply don’t ask permission. Oracle’s OpenAI data centers just got delayed from 2027 to 2028 due to labor and material shortages. xAI’s secret? Skip the permitting process entirely, deal with the lawsuits later. The expansion to Colossus 2 across the Mississippi border wasn’t “genius” site selection. It was jurisdiction shopping after Tennessee regulators started getting heat from NAACP lawsuits and EPA scrutiny. This tells you everything about how Musk views regulatory compliance as a competitive moat to be tunneled under. SpaceX and Tesla have the same pattern. Move fast, break environmental rules, pay fines later. The EPA ruling yesterday closes the loophole. Future xAI expansions will face the same permitting timelines everyone else deals with. The “speed advantage” was a one-time regulatory arbitrage play, and it came at the expense of Memphis residents breathing 2,000+ tons of NOx emissions per year.
xAI has officially become the first to bring a gigawatt-scale coherent AI training cluster online That’s more electricity than the peak demand of San Francisco While competitors are still drafting roadmaps for 2027, xAI is already operating at major city–level power today The execution speed is unreal: Colossus 1 → from dirt to fully operational in 122 days Colossus 2 → just crossed the 1 GW barrier, targeting 2 GW total Elon’s playbook hasn’t changed: move faster than everyone, scale before they finish meetings The strategy is clear: speed and execution at scale

13 years since the (possibly) best day and decision of my life. The day I quit my day job to focus on my side projects. Fast forward to 2026. @getconfetti is starting its 12th year. We’re 11 employees, steady year-by-year growth, tens of thousands of events with millions of attendees, no VC. All while also creating, organizing and growing @nordicjs and @nordicdesign, traveling the world, working remotely, and building a life that feels rich in more ways than just work. Grateful. Still learning. Trying to build something that matters, while living the best life I can along the way.
