Amazon banning agents is the first opportunity I've seen since Amazon was founded for a startup to create an Amazon competitor. People will want agents to buy stuff for them. It will be one of the main use cases. And they won't want to use some Amazon-supplied agent to do it.

If your app perf is awful, it's not because of AI. You just don't care enough. Just slammed a 600ms INP to 72ms (kudos to gpt-5.6s-sol)

Spent the last few months on Conductor, but officially migrated to @orca_build. Missing Ghostty for xterm.js is a small trade-off for how much better the workflow is.

Both "Claude Code on the web" and "Codex cloud", (remote sessions in docker containers), are way behind of what they should be. Their containers are slow, environment setup is a nightmare with their firewalls, and Codex doesn't even let you pick your model (Sol/Terra/Luna).

The best thing about Sundays is that Opus 4.6 (max) is as fast as Haiku on a Monday morning.

Do you use Studio as part of your dev workflow? I want to talk with you, we are working on something exciting :)
Early access! WordPress Studio now has an independently installable CLI. One command to install: npm install -g wp-studio And another to run WordPress locally, no desktop app needed: npx wp-studio It works on Mac, Windows, and Linux and makes it easy for your AI coding tools to interact with Studio. Sync, import, export, and more are coming soon. 👀 Free to install and use.

🚀 Relentless shipping util finding a home stops being a nightmare.
Solo hay algo más caro que tu hipoteca: tu tiempo. ¿De qué sirve un piso barato si pierdes 2h al día en el metro? 🚀 Hoy Lanzamos "Travel Time". Busca por tiempo de trayecto, no por barrios: 🚶‍♂️ 5' andando a la playa 🚴 15' en bici al trabajo 🚇 20' en metro al centro

One of the cool things about AI-assisted coding is that you can start choosing your tech stack based on actual performance, even if it means sacrificing some DX. Two examples I've experienced lately:

React Native is seeing an explosion of libraries tapping into native code for superior UX, like the new `react-native-ease` or the WIP `vercel/aix`. xitter.cf/janicduplessis/status/…
Finally got to build this. Create animations that use Core Animation on iOS and Animator on Android with zero JS overhead. Same animation. But one keeps running smoothly even when the UI thread is lagging. Introducing react-native-ease 🍃

I rewrote a full React + GraphQL SPA into Phoenix LiveView in just 2 days. We originally chose React purely for the DX. LiveView has non-obvious conventions, but with AI handling the boilerplate, we get all the performance benefits with none of the headaches.

I haven't had this much fun building things since I was 11 and learned Microsoft FrontPage.

The "Severance" workflow
My current agentic workflow is about 5x faster, better quality, I understand the system better, and I’m having fun again. My previous workflows have left me exhausted, overwhelmed, and feeling out of touch with the systems I was building. They also degraded quality too much. This is way better. I’m not ready to describe in detail. It’s still evolving a bit. But I’ll give you a high level here. I call this the Night Shift workflow.
