something about the events leading up to the situation in tda was so heartbreaking to me, emma and julian + blackthorns having their parents ripped away from them so savagely and having to fend for themselves but trying to be brave amidst it all, and then helen is taken away, etc

so i just finished city of heavenly fire and it absolutely wrecked me, ive been crying non stop about this book its horrible … now onto lady midnight 😭
