In terms of high-level/long-term/average geopolitics and country culture/vibe, I would say that Switzerland🇨🇭 and America 🇺🇸 are my two favorite countries, in no particular order. Rose-tinted and selective, but nevertheless, my thoughts:
Switzerland, a neutral country, will host and pay for peace talks and facilitate negotiations, they will host countries with high tensions, perhaps on the brink of war and offer that they come and talk in a beautiful hotel like above Lake Lucerne. The country is beautiful, and peaceful and prosperous, relatively free and generally/historically classically liberal and highly democratic and with a strong culture of compromise, diplomacy, negotiation, peace and neutrality, and understanding. I like to imagine that hopefully this kind of thing rubs off on the leaders/politicians who visit and do their negotiations and shows them what could be possible if things were perhaps more Swiss, at least in those ways. But Switzerland is small, it is not very capable of fighting off an aggressor or a threat offensively, but it is still extremely good at defending itself, both militarily, as well as psychologically/culturally/diplomatically.
America, more interventionist, but often reluctantly so, stands very strong and firm with its values of freedom, democracy and peace, unironically, and it will underwrite them. America actively supports and defends people and countries who share in its values, through migration and asylum, diplomacy and negotiation, other forms of political and economic support, and if it really has to, it will come and fight. And when it comes and it fights, it will finish the job and completely destroy the aggressor where it thinks it needs to, as it did in the case of Germany and Japan in WW2. And once it’s done that, it will help to rebuild and invest and support, and then it will leave, or stay when asked. Most Americans did not want to fight in WW2 after what happened in WW1, their hand was forced when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. Later the South Koreans where being attacked and invaded from the North and they desperately asked America for help, eventually, reluctantly again, America came in and helped push the North Koreans back past Soul to where the border is now.
Living in Switzerland having moved from South Africa, I am very grateful for what America did in the 1930s/40s, throughout the Cold War, even to an extent today with NATO and its military presence in Europe. Even more now with X and Elon and Trump. And at the same time, I am extremely grateful for what Switzerland is and pretty much always has been, and the peace and negotiations and discussions it actively encourages and facilitates, and that it is neutral and almost like a safe space in that way.
That’s the thought, I think optimistic and selective, and both countries have their dark sides, but I think on balance it is generally true and accurate and what I think most people in those countries probably want and aspire for.

Across all human time periods, saying what you actually think has always been a pure demonstration of courage.
I'd love to see it 🫡
Alice Weidel gerade im EP: "Wenn es nach mir geht, können die 33.000 Kommissionsbeamten gleich morgen entlassen werden und einer ordentlichen Arbeit nachgehen. Dann werden sie merken, dass sie nur stören."

That is terrible, but job well done I'd say.
🇿🇦 In South Africa, a father kills three carjackers in a shootout while protecting his children
He and his two children were leaving their yard when a white vehicle blocked them.
One attacker held a gun to the son’s head at the gate while another opened fire.
The father returned fire from the car, killing one on the spot. The other two fled but later died of their wounds.
Smoke, mirrors and lies.
🇪🇺🇷🇺 Ursula von der Leyen says RUSSIA IS USING MASS MIGRATION as a weapon against EUROPE
The EU chief accuses Russia of deliberately pushing migrants toward European borders to overwhelm authorities, spread fear and divide the continent.
She now wants new emergency powers to deal with these situations.
Brussels has SPENT YEARS defending migration and asylum as part of Europe's values.
Now it's warning that hostile governments can exploit those same systems to destabilize Europe.
Completely ridiculous. And pretty revealing who is actually behind it all...

Visited, had no idea. Cool.
The Swiss castle that inspired Disney’s Little Mermaid? 🏰🧜♀️🇨🇭
On the shores of Lake Geneva, Château de Chillon is one of Switzerland’s most iconic castles.
Its dramatic lakeside setting has inspired writers, poets and artists for centuries, from Lord Byron to Victor Hugo. Chillon is also linked to the castle in Disney’s animated film The Little Mermaid from 1989.
A Swiss landmark with a fairytale connection.
Would you have guessed this castle was in Switzerland? 👇
Hmm
Denmark spent decades building nearly 5,000 wind turbines
Together, they produced 21.6 TWh in the last 12 months
One nuclear plant in Sweden made 23.3 TWh
Oh, and nuclear runs 24/7 — wind doesn’t
There's one big reason Denmark has some of the most expensive electricity in the world
