October 6th. We’ve had some patchy frost but this is a pretty late killing frost for my part of the world.

Trees right along the road make for beautiful pics, but add time to field moves. Taking headers on and off for every field move gets old fast

Over 2100MT of barley, chopped whole into small pieces and packed tightly. Needs to be covered in plastic and left to ferment. We call it , Silage.

Haven’t had one of these kind of rains all year. Too bad it didn’t fall in June. Start of silage is getting pushed back a few days

Last of the in crop spraying today. 2nd pass liberty on the last seeded canola. Been extremely dry, had just enough rain to get it going. Praying for more than spotty showers. This fields behind but looks good I think.

Swath grazing going in. Excited to clean up and park seeder 2. Hoping maybe this 3310 BG with 3850FC leading cart can be on someone else’s farm next year. Has worked well just need bigger and a little newer. Need to see a big rain before I make any decisions
