This trend of abuding opposition leaders must stop. @KanimozhiDMK looks visibly uncomfortable.
A woman engaging in third-degree verbal abuse on stage, targeting the CMO, at an event where Mayor Priya and MP Kanimozhi shared the same stage.
I’ve said this repeatedly, and this is exactly why people hate you and are disgusted by your behaviour. The arrogance, hypocrisy, and blatant disregard for basic decency are pushing people away.
Stop preaching values you filthy hypocrites, when your own conduct is full of your own crap.

He has hedged this message in every possible way.
Was this meant for yesterday and got triggered 24 hours late? There hasn't been a single drop of rain ever since they issued this alert. I know there will be people who say better to be safe than sorry but that should not condone such wrong alerts. People will change their plans based on these alerts. Functions and events will be affected. Businesses will be impacted. There will be those who say it's only one day but that is not the point. We have seen over the last several years every time they miss predicting a major rain event, they over compensate by issuing a red alert for the following day.
Weather forecasting is never 100% but at least the major events need to be got right. One understands the challenges in predicting the weather but surely they must do better.
PS: Maybe there will be deluge tonight and they will be proven right but if that does not happen, explanation must be sought as to who asked for the alert to be sent.

Aduvana thappu solli solliyae munarum nenaikkum jeevan naan illai. I already have enough on my plate, with elderly parents to take care of and a job that is as hectic as it gets. All these posts, data compilation all done during my free time. Before passing judgmental comments, please remember that.
I am minding my own ways and choosing to ignore the negativity. I don't seek recognition, nor do I want to be the face on TV during heavy rainfall events. All the major news channels know this. I rarely accept TV interviews; only when they persistently request and it happens to be a leave day do I agree.
But I won't lie, a few encouraging and kind words from people keep me going. That's why I still try to read the comments.
To be honest, weather blogging isn't as enjoyable as it was in 2015. Those who have known me for a long time understand what is in my heart. Jealousy, the race to be the first to post, arguments over who is right, things have changed. The joy and spirit that once made this space special seem to be fading.
I would rather work behind the scenes, sharing my interpretations and making sure people and the Government can use them to the best of their ability. That is what matters to me, not publicity or recognition.
Regarding yesterday's rains: Yes, we had predicted that it was an ideal day for rainfall across North Tamil Nadu and Chennai. But if you had asked me yesterday morning whether Chennai could receive 300 mm of rain, I would have said there was a 0% chance. The broad setup was favourable, but the sheer magnitude of the rainfall was beyond what I expected.
Weather will always have its surprises. I will continue to share my interpretations honestly, acknowledge what I get right and what I don't.
The roads were laid out and good. But no, the Chennai Corporation had to do the linking of Storm Water drains in Kazura Garden Neelankarai just before the monsoons and that too without any means to cross or even a temporary plank. The one they have now is right next to the transformer and narrower than the one pirates walked on. Couldn't you have waited till January to do this work? Or if you start, why take so much time? @chennaicorp @TVKVijayHQ @AadhavArjuna The authorities have absolutely no brains.

After the West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer and a BJP spokesperson questioned DeKoder's earlier SIR analysis, Prannoy Roy (@PrannoyRoy7749) responds with a closer look at the data.
Is counting seats won enough to understand SIR's electoral impact? What does the vote swing reveal that the seat tally doesn't?
Watch till the end and follow DeKoder for more.

“We used our models to understand the device”
We discovered a sophisticated recording device that was hidden inside one of our offices. We used our models to understand the device and where it had come from, identifying that a specific employee had planted it a few days earlier. We referred the matter to the FBI, and we’re grateful to the agents and prosecutors who moved quickly to make an arrest. The FBI’s investigation is ongoing and we will continue to support their work.
At this time, we have no indications of this individual inappropriately accessing or exfiltrating model weights, source code, or customer data. The employee was terminated.
We take protecting our technology, data, and people seriously, and as a matter of national importance. Our security program is designed to protect against a wide range of threat actors, from insider risks to cybercriminals to nation states, and this case is an example of how AI can help address these sophisticated security threats.
How is that only Sashi finds himself in this position often? Deliberate?
It seems one line makes a better headline than an entire argument. @NDTV has shared several excerpts from my interview, but that hardly justifies cherry-picking this particular remark while stripping away the context in which it was made. I shall leave viewers to judge the merits of that editorial choice. Meanwhile, here are a few more of the points I made in the same conversation.
-The police’s “ruthless” repression on Saturday and the “badly manhandled” protesters on Sunday.
-The Congress’s role in initiating this phase of protests in Delhi from 6 October.
-The extraordinary turnout of “easily lakhs” of supporters, despite the police conduct over the weekend.
-The protest as “a good day for the defence of democracy”.
- @RahulGandhi’s election petition and the wider legal challenge to the ECI’s handling of the SIR.
When an interview is reduced to a convenient soundbite, the headline may be sharp, but the journalism falls short.
