My wife & I are seriously considering dropping our health insurance for us & our 3 kids. What’s everyone else doing for alternative/preventative major injury/tragedy coverage? @MatthewCKrueger whats the one you suggested again? I had the wrong info on In-laws per our last convo.

🚨INCREDIBLE: He was burning alive, yet he kept re-entering the burning Bradley Fighting Vehicle until all six soldiers and the Iraqi interpreter were safe. Burns covered 72% of his body. His first words were, ‘How are my boys?’ He died three weeks later. It took 16 years for him to receive the Medal of Honor. HIS NAME IS SERGEANT FIRST CLASS ALWYN C. CASHE, NEVER FORGET!

What clicked for me in trading was when I realized I had to stop fucking up or I’d end up having to go back to my job. Before that I would overtrade, revenge trade, sell early, move my stop, take trades that weren't mine - you name it. It was when I got close to running out of my two years’ worth of saved up living expenses that I realized I literally had no choice but to do it the right way. I locked in. I knew my strategy worked, my mind worked but my body didn’t respond accordingly. That’s when I realized my body was in control - not my mind. My mind was thinking but my body was making the decisions...like it was pre-programmed. Take overtrading for example: I KNEW i wasn't suppose to overtrade but after taking my max loss on a given day, it was like I would go unconscious and my body would start clicking into trades. I had to reprogram it by becoming conscious of what I was doing. After practising "awareness" and meditation, I was able to take control while also elevating myself spiritually in the process. I’ve been trading for 12 years now. It’s become second nature to me. But there was once a time when I was in your shoes. You can do it. You just have to become self aware about everything you're doing and remain consistent in your process. Process over EVERYTHING. It's the only way to win. One day you're going to have to face yourself and tell yourself enough is enough. Take CONTROL of yourself so you can take control of your life.

Charles Washington is a foundational figure in the modern zero-carb (all-meat/carnivore) movement and the founder of Zeroing In On Health (ZIOH). In early 2007, Washington was obese (around 221 pounds), pre-diabetic, and facing potential medication. He first tried a low-fat, portion-controlled plan, then shifted to carbohydrate restriction after discovering low-carb approaches via writers like Gary Taubes and accounts of clinicians such as Dr. Mary Vernon. He began Atkins Induction but never “climbed the carb ladder.” By August 2007 he eliminated all plant foods entirely, adopting a zero-carb regimen of meat and water. He lost roughly 78 pounds, normalized blood pressure and lipids, and reported broad improvements in skin, energy, strength, libido, and overall well-being. He became an active runner (including marathons and high weekly mileage) while eating primarily commercial supermarket meats—beef, pork, and chicken—typically around 2–4 pounds daily, drinking water, and using salt or spices only sparingly. His philosophy treats meat and water as the non-negotiable foundation; other animal foods (eggs, occasional dairy) are secondary, and plant foods are excluded as “food.” He has long maintained that a properly adapted woman can carry a healthy pregnancy on zero-carb, a view that drew sharp criticism from low-carb authorities of the era but has since been supported by community experience. As a moderator on Jimmy Moore’s Atkins forum, Washington took over a nearly empty Zero Carb thread. It grew so dominant that the group was effectively pushed out. In October 2008 he founded Zeroing In On Health as a dedicated space where zero plant foods was the default rather than a fringe exception. The group (later a major Facebook community) has provided practical support, guidelines rooted in long-term practitioners (including Owsley “the Bear” Stanley), and peer counsel to thousands. Washington has worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and has remained a consistent, low-key mentor in the zero-carb/carnivore world for nearly two decades, emphasizing simplicity, eating to satiety, and the idea that a healthy body enables exercise rather than the reverse. His early advocacy helped establish the practical, community-driven wing of the all-meat dietary approach that later expanded into the broader carnivore movement.

I've been carnivore for about 9 months now. No counting calories. Minimal excersise. No cravings. Fat keeps me full for long periods. Down 60lbs. It's almost like we have a natural feedback loop that is interupted by food that is engineered to be addictive.

If you have an autoimmune disease, you owe it to yourself to try the ultimate elimination diet: carnivore. I’ve seen patients with rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, ulcerative colitis, and other autoimmune conditions go into remission after making this change. It’s not a guarantee, but I’ve seen what it can do. Why not give it a try?
