❕Putin’s “peace plan” turned out to be an ultimatum Reuters, citing sources and following other media, has published the list of conditions Putin allegedly presented to Trump during talks on ending the war in Ukraine. In reality, it’s not peace — it’s Ukraine’s capitulation: ▪️Withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Donbas in exchange for freezing the front in the south. In return, Moscow is only ready to give back parts of Sumy and Kharkiv regions. ▪️Recognition of Crimea as Russian. ▪️Ban on joining NATO. ▪️Partial lifting of sanctions. ▪️Official status for the Russian language and the church. There will be no ceasefire until a “deal” is signed — the fighting will continue. Essentially, Putin is demanding the legalization of occupied Ukrainian territories and embedding pro-Russian control inside the country. It looks more like a political trap than a genuine peace plan.
