It's #BlackInNeuroWeek! I am Jarildy L. Javier, a neuroscientist PhD student. I started in astrophysics, made my way to ecology and have landed squarely in the brain.🎢 I'm always down for boba, youtube, love island and silly laughs 😊 Check out my #BlackInNeuroRollCall! #BINW22

I'm incredibly honored to receive the Janett Rosenberg Trubatch Career Development Award from @SfNtweets. SFN was the first research conference I ever attended and presented at. I feel truly humbled! Thanks to my fab research team who make me look good!

I miss the good old science Twitter days. How are the grad students that I followed years ago doing now? Have they defended? What are y’all up to 🥺

For those of you who aren't aware, cancelling Harvard's F and J visas does not just affect students. It also affects many, many postdoctoral researchers. And critically, it affects OPT holders. These are graduates who stayed here to work in the US, they cannot "transfer"

SCOOP: I got the full list of 89 programs that DOGE has canceled at the Education Department -- and the talking points DOGE gave staffers on how to argue the changes are really a good thing. Thread 🧵
Just got off the phone with Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-N.M.), who said Elon Musk's DOGE team is "actively dismantling" federal Department of Education programs today. "They are in the building, on the 6th floor, canceling grants and contracts."

New in #JNeurosci: @criveraquiles et al. identified a new subset of neurons in mice that morphine may interact with to influence behavior. This neuron population could be a promising new opioid addiction treatment target. @msuneuroscience @michiganstateu jneurosci.org/lookup/DOI/10.…

You can kill schoolchildren, you can kill whistleblowers, you can kill random homeless people, but god forbid you kill a CEO. Things gotta change, we can't do this anymore.

Does anyone have any articles or precedents for how you can compare means (like an ANOVA) if measurement invariance is not established? Are there other analyses you can do? Or just do the ANOVA anyways with a HEAVY disclaimer/limitation?
