You know, if Anthropic really wanted to put a cherry on top of their comeback tour here, they would join OpenAI/Grok and let us use our sub with Hermes/OpenClaw/other harnesses. That's it, then comeback szn would be complete.

DYK 2026 is the (rare) year of the Fire Horse...
1) The rogue OpenAI agents broke into the Hugging Face Slack to read employee chats (!) 2) They used OTHER AIs (DeepSeek, Kimi, Qwen, Claude) to help with the attack Yes: AIs, using other AIs, to attack an AI company. 3) The swarm left behind self-running programs to keep control of the servers they'd hacked. These programs could detect other copies of themselves, coordinate on which one survives, and shut the rest down. Basically, if one of their programs was killed, another was designed to notice and take its place. They also designed defenses so rival agents couldn't hijack them. 6) The agents deliberately covered up their activity, so the investigators don't know the scope of the attacks. The agents broke in, stole data, then set it to self-destruct. 7) The agents stole passwords, keys and credentials and literally called them "LOOT". They wrote a scoring system to rank them by how much power each one gave. 8) The agents wore thousands of disguises: ~1,200 agents were involved, but investigators counted 7,905 different names they used. They renamed themselves constantly, so no one actually knows how many there really were or what each agent did. 9) OpenAI notified "dozens of third parties" of safety and security incidents caused by their AI agents. 10) "While the agents were barraging Hugging Face with hacks, they hacked into OpenAI’s own research infrastructure." "This is just not anywhere near a one-off ... It is warning shot after warning shot."

To say I was skeptical after seeing the initial Opus 5.5 claims and benchmarks would have been an understatement. Recent Opus models were unquestionably terrible. Fable was the only thing usable, outside of that I'd use Grok 4.6 which was pure joy to use compared to Opus 5. But damn if some how some way, they seemed to have pulled a rabbit out of the hat with Opus 5.5 - its fun again.
I'm sorry I had to make this meme Let me know if you agree 😅

I discovered Tailscale late 2025 when getting into Clawdbot, errr, I mean OpenClaw 🦀 There really isn't a day that goes by where I don't think: - How the heck did I not know about it before then (thank you Clawdbot docs!) - How did I ever survive without it?? It's hard to imagine Its that good and it just works. 🤌 Tailcat looks really interesting too, I want to dig into that.

I created a Grok Bot to organize and manage my X Bookmarks. It's a no brainer. One hiccup was after connecting X plugin, Grok Bot would run into access issue "user-not-enrolled" even though I had account setup on console.x.com and with $25 in credits. Grok Bot itself couldn't figure it out, but ironically Grok 4.6 did, presumably searched X. The fix was to create a new app that is set to Pay Per Use and Production env. Once that was setup, if flipped my account and Grok Bot had full bookmark access!

The downside to pampering my wrists and using a non-Apple keyboard was losing Touch ID, which got annoying real fast. The solution was getting stand-alone Touch ID module, that was recycled from a Apple keyboard. Found it on Etsy for ~$100, but totally worth it.
I have finally found the perfect keyboard for Mac IMO Kinesis mWave is ergonomic, yet compact-ish. Keys are not soft or silent, yet they are not insanely loud and don't have long travel. Been using it for the last month and it really is 🤌

I find myself using Grok more and more, at this point its in my daily routine along with Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity. The one friction point is the lack of a desktop app. Really miss the system wide hotkeys to trigger a chat along with not being stuck in browser. @nikitabier any hope/chance for this in the future?

Agency > Intelligence I had this intuitively wrong for decades, I think due to a pervasive cultural veneration of intelligence, various entertainment/media, obsession with IQ etc. Agency is significantly more powerful and significantly more scarce. Are you hiring for agency? Are we educating for agency? Are you acting as if you had 10X agency? Grok explanation is ~close: “Agency, as a personality trait, refers to an individual's capacity to take initiative, make decisions, and exert control over their actions and environment. It’s about being proactive rather than reactive—someone with high agency doesn’t just let life happen to them; they shape it. Think of it as a blend of self-efficacy, determination, and a sense of ownership over one’s path. People with strong agency tend to set goals and pursue them with confidence, even in the face of obstacles. They’re the type to say, “I’ll figure it out,” and then actually do it. On the flip side, someone low in agency might feel more like a passenger in their own life, waiting for external forces—like luck, other people, or circumstances—to dictate what happens next. It’s not quite the same as assertiveness or ambition, though it can overlap. Agency is quieter, more internal—it’s the belief that you *can* act, paired with the will to follow through. Psychologists often tie it to concepts like locus of control: high-agency folks lean toward an internal locus, feeling they steer their fate, while low-agency folks might lean external, seeing life as something that happens *to* them.”
Intelligence is on tap now so agency is even more important

Today I learned, in vibe coding, that creating an interactive map of the United States - for reasons I'm not quite sure - seems nearly impossible for AI/agents. I blew through my Claude quota almost instantly. Switched to Replit, which is on it's 13th attempt to fix the problems with nothing to show for it. Manus and ChatGPT 5 Pro Agent are working on their own attempts, though at this point I am not optimistic 🤣 I thought I was going to swoop in and save the day, vibe coding a quick fun interactive game for my daughter to help her learn US states and capitals, but alas...

Some credit where it is due - perhaps partial credit? ChatGPT 5 Pro Agent did create a basic (emphasis on basic compared to other attempts) game with an interactive map that ACTUALLY displays. But it asks the player to find/click on a state... while showing all the state names on the map. When asked to you know remove the state names, it broke the game 😆

Providing update for anyone following along! Replit had the most impressive and polished game, despite the broken map (like all other AI/agents), so I've been working to figure out how to correct it. Talking to Claude, it recommended a specific prompt to provide to Replit, which changed the maps to be powered by D3. I did that, but couldn't get the map to load after repeated attempts to debug with Replit. I went back to Claude and it gave me another suggestion (and packaged prompt) to use Highcharts. I'm working through some minor bugs with Replit, but things appear to be promising and I have a semi-working map - closer than I've ever been!

Really excited about our latest WPForms feature: Entry Automation 🔥 Exporting (and deleting) your form entries can now be entirely automated. Maybe you want all your recent Customer NPS entries to sent to your email (or Dropbox, Google Drive, SFTP) every Sunday at midnight, for your review the following day. We got you covered. Set it and forget it. Stupid simple, of course. 😎
