When all is said and done, what did you sacrifice to live virtuously? The only concrete proof of your realized virtue will be what you gave up, what comfort you deferred. It's easy to be virtuous when virtue is costless. In my own case, I haven't sacrificed very much so far. Becoming a software engineer and eventually working on Bitcoin Core was an easy path. To begin with, being a programmer in the 2010s paid well, was comfortable, interesting. The barriers to working on bitcoin were very low. At no point did I really have to *give anything up*, aside from stomaching a little bit of uncertainty. Working on bitcoin is fundamentally an easy, financially rewarding path. I have to laugh a little bit anytime I hear people being glazed for "how much they gave up" to work on bitcoin. "Thank you for your service." Thank you for what, getting paid well to listen to techno in a climate controlled room while typing? You know what requires sacrifice? The social costs associated with refusing to ignore overwhelming evidence and calling out organized Jewish power in America, which is ripping the country to shreds. The ethno-supremacist power that underlies entities like Soros, neoconservatives, Epstein, AIPAC, and Hart-Cellar. Sacrifice: for example, the social costs associated with openly acknowledging that different races have different average characteristics, actually. That diversity in most instances is a weakness, and not a strength. That maybe a population with 12x the murder rate of the native population shouldn't be propped up with feel-good DEI policies and a welfare state that subsidizes the creation of fatherless children at the expense of white family formation. You know what requires sacrifice? Prioritizing the confrontation of these problems in a humane, Christian way over the simple pursuit of making more money in an ethically bankrupt system. May God help both you and me pursue sacrifice for the sake of loving virtue.
