Yo, I wasn’t kidding. I would take it as a huge personal favour if you would follow @Gnisofficial and urge others too
Their work is so important. A free Iran will need the voices of the next generation.
An honour to join the Global Network of Iranian Students conference at the European Parliament today. There is so much we can do to give a voice to the next generation of Iranians who long for a free Iran.
Can we get them 1,000 followers by bedtime? @Gnisofficial
I feel every word.
This story has broken me. It has unleashed a rage so strong I can barely express it, but allow me to try.
Above all, I am angry with the decades-long malevolent incompetence of the British state: politicians of all parties, the judiciary, the civil service. Their collective uselessness has shattered the social contract and made us all poorer and less safe. In just 25 years, they have led us from an affluent, high-trust society to a broken, low-trust one.
I am sickened by the growth in sectarian politics. I am appalled by the foreign ghettos in our cities and imported, bent voting practices and resultant corruption in some of our councils. I hate seeing the clothing of female oppression on our streets. I am sickened by the fact our Jewish community lives under siege.
I no longer wish to pay tax to support those who have come here illegally and should be removed immediately. It is to our shame that we have accepted mass immigration without insisting on integration. I am tired of being told that a British passport makes a foreigner as British as me. I assure you that the “British citizen” in this story is not. I am saddened that for so many people, the concept of “British” is essentially meaningless.
I am sick of the obsession with a minor war 2,500 miles away that barely affects us. I despise that £88m of our tax money is going to Hamas (because it will), when the tax burden is a record high, everything is expensive, welfare spending is out of control and we can’t even pay for our own defences when the global risk of conflict is the highest it has been since the end of the Cold War. And in spite of how much of our money the government steals from our pockets, nothing, at all, in this country works. Healthcare, transport, education - all broken.
It is a stain on our national politics that we have five Gaza MPs. It is our national shame that our government is intent on sucking up to the Palestinian entity which contains some of the worst monsters on the face of planet. It is a disgrace that our Foreign Secretary shook the hand of the representative of the Iranian regime that has slaughtered tens of thousands of its own people, and that he doesn’t seem to understand why that photograph will damn him forever. It is embarrassing that we had a Foreign Office minister dancing with and hugging the representative of the Palestinian Authority. The lack of serious statesmanship is mind-boggling and indicative of how far we have fallen.
They say the past is a foreign country, but my goodness, do I miss the country I grew up in. I feel so sorry for the generation that grew up after 2000 and will never know how good it was. It’s not coming back.
I have no time for the demagogues and grifters who exploit this anger. I know other people feel the same as I do, and my goodness, do I understand why people are angry. For decades, those we have elected to govern in our interests have instead run our country into the ground.
And to cap it all, now we are led by fatuous, asinine, deeply unserious airheads who think serious governance is a TikTok video about pork scratchings, as the last vestiges of a coherent society die under the weight of their malignant frivolity.
The worst part of it is that there is absolutely nothing any of us can do about it. I just want to live in a happy, stable, prosperous country like we used to be, instead of one that is run by a state apparatus that does nothing but beat us down, obsess over irrelevances, take our money, and leave us poorer and less safe.

🚨 PAEDOPHILE CONVICTED IN ABSENCE AFTER FLEEING COURT
Michael Cimini failed to turn up for his trial at Hove Crown Court — after being granted bail before facing serious sexual offences against a child.
He was convicted in his absence of seven counts of penetrative sexual activity with a child, non-penetrative sexual activity with a child and making an indecent photograph of a child.
Sussex Police are now urgently hunting for him.
Cimini has links to Crowborough, Kent and London.
⚠️ Do NOT approach him. Call 999 immediately, quoting crime reference 47220189249.

“The attacks on Ed Sheeran were completely predictable.
Let me be clear: the pro Palestine movement at its core is nothing more than a hate movement dressed up as humanitarianism. It hates the West and hates Jews. You won’t see this movement waving the flag of the country the protesters are happening in. If there is a flag, it’s there to be burned.
It hides its hatred of Jews by calling them Zionist, or Zios—spitting that word out like an insult.
Don’t be deceived, when you hear those words, they mean Jew.
Do you think this is the first time Jewish people have been demonised in this way?
The entire movement is built off the lie of genocide.
The actual genocidal monsters are the ones who openly declare their intention to kill all Jews. We all saw what they did to innocent people on October 7th. They killed—not because they wanted some vague idea of freedom.
They’ve had every opportunity to build better lives for their people.
No, they killed because they liked it. They revelled in spilling blood and being cruel. Their scriptures condone their actions.
Yet somehow, millions of people have decided to make excuses for them.
If “free Palestine” was an actual humanitarian movement, it would rage about the indoctrination of hate shoved into the minds of Palestinians children. It would rage at the treatment of Palestinians at the hands of Hamas. It would rage at the billions that flowed into Gaza being used to build sophisticated terror tunnels half the size of the New York underground—instead of building skyscrapers.
But this movement does not care about the Palestinians. It cares about hating the only Jewish state.
So Macklemore and the other pathetic artists who quit Ed Sheerans tour to make a statement: take that Palestinian flag and shove it up your ass.
To Ed Sheeran: please don’t bend to this movement of hate. And Pink, we love you. Thank you for being brave when so many have chosen weakness.”
A 3,000 km drone flight went unheard for 14 hours. But a post on a soup blog mobilized full state security.
When a regime hunts culinary historians instead of guarding infrastructure, its sky stops belonging to it.

For 3,000 years, only the rich wore colour.
Red was a beetle crushed by the thousand. Blue was a plant rotted in urine. Purple was a sea snail, and you needed 12,000 of them for the hem of one robe. Colour was not a taste. It was a rank.
Then at Easter 1856, an 18 year old in Shadwell was trying to make malaria medicine out of gasworks sludge.
He failed. He went to wash out the flask.
And it came out purple.
The colour emperors killed for... In a sink in the East End.
The reason it worked is the part nobody believes.
He was 18. He patented it that August, walked out of college, borrowed his father's money and built a factory. Within 2 years Britain had gone purple, the price collapsed, and a servant could wear a colour an empress had worn.
Look at what you are wearing. Nobody dived for it. Nobody counted shells for it.
Because a boy in Shadwell got it wrong. And instead of washing his mistake away, he gave the world colour.
That spirit was handed down. It is still in you.
Help us hand it to the next generation.
Everything we make is free.
It stays that way because of people like you: 🙏

Before 1856, people of all social classes wore dyed clothing. While certain rare dyes like Tyrian purple were restricted to the elite, common natural dyes like woad (blue), madder (red), and weld (yellow) were widely accessible and used for millennia. exhibitions.kelsey.lsa.umich.edu/ancient-color/… blog.metmuseum.org/cloistersgarde…

The Russian army boasted about attacking a child—a civilian cyclist—in the Donbas.
A post recently appeared on the official channel of the Russian Armed Forces' 3rd Army announcing the "elimination of enemy manpower" via an FPV drone, accompanied by the caption: "Once again, the enemy is losing personnel and cover; there is nowhere left to hide from our fighters." The video shows military personnel launching a surprise drone attack on a child riding a bicycle—even though the child was unarmed and wearing civilian clothing. The incident took place in the village of Vasilyevskaya Pustosh in Ukraine's Donetsk region.
After journalists drew attention to the targeted killing of a civilian, the post was deleted without comment.

Bruce’s owner has described the devastating moment her beloved Rottweiler (pictured in an AI-enhanced image) slipped from her grip and vanished — before being found fatally stabbed beside Kingshurst Brook, Bosworth Drive, #chelmsleywood, #birmingham B37 on 10 July.
A nurse walking her own dog discovered Bruce’s body after noticing blood beneath the bridge. Her dog then led her to where Bruce lay.
West Midlands Police are now assisting an RSPCA investigation, and animal rights charity PETA has offered a £5,000 reward for information leading to the person responsible.
Bruce’s heartbroken owner says he escaped after reversing out of her grip at the back gate. He ran towards the bridge — the same spot where his body was later found.
She has raised concerns about the investigation, questioning why police initially left the matter to the RSPCA and Solihull Council, saying: "𝗧𝗼 𝗺𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹, 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝗸𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲-𝘄𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿?"
The RSPCA now believes Bruce was killed elsewhere before his body was dumped beneath the bridge, stating there was no blood at the scene to indicate he died there.
West Midlands Police have confirmed they are supporting the RSPCA’s enquiries and will be speaking with Bruce’s owner.
Someone knows what happened to Bruce.
Someone saw something.
Someone heard something.

The number of job vacancies has hit the lowest level in five years, official figures show.
There are 18,000 fewer roles available (ONS figures) for the three months to June.
It's down to smaller businesses pausing hiring or replacing departed staff due to employment and general operating costs.
So when Labour talks about getting people back into work
Where are the jobs?
Where are the conditions for growth?

Please retweet RSPCA APPEAL FOR INFORMATION – INJURED DOG FOUND IN #CAMBRIDGE #UK🚨
This is Peanut, a Shih Tzu Lhasa Aspo-cross. He was found straying in Ross Street, #Cambridge on 2 July, carrying injuries that were hidden beneath matted fur so severe his ear had become attached to his neck.
When the team at Woodgreen Pets Charity clipped him, they uncovered the wounds you can see in this collage:
⭐ Long, vertical injuries running from his back down to his stomach
⭐ Missing fur and raw, healing skin
⭐ Marks that do NOT look accidental
The RSPCA believes these injuries are “extremely unusual” and may have been deliberately inflicted.
📌 Peanut was rehomed around six months ago.
📌 Someone knows who had him.
📌 Someone knows what happened.
Despite everything, Peanut is recovering — his personality is shining through — but he deserves justice.
