The same people who think this is okay want the Ten Commandments displayed in schools, demand books be banned for graphic content, and accuse teachers of indoctrinating students. But livestream an execution? Apparently, that’s perfectly fine.

So umpires are getting scrutinized and lambasted for missing pitches an 1/8” of an inch to an inch off the plate that really isn’t the plate as MLB only counts the back half of home plate. Imagine being told you are wrong by a computer that the pitch you called a strike because it caught the front half of the plate is actually a ball. Then getting crap from all the younger, nerdy generation because it’s so EZ to tell if a pitch is a strike at 100 mph or a ball from your fucking couch. Get a grip people. They won’t call the real zone because hitters would struggle more than they do now. Imagine that.

If the biggest evidence of instructional quality is whether the objective is posted on the board, we’ve confused compliance with teaching. I care less about what’s written on the wall and more about what’s happening in the minds of kids. There, I said it.

We have not seen a caravan headed to the U.S. southern border in several years, why now? Oh yeah, there is an election coming and the GOP needs to scare you into voting because nothing else is working.
Over 400 aliens predominantly from Honduras entered Mexico on Thursday, ready to make their way to the US southern border… Here’s footage of the caravan. Someone is incentivizing this movement, this is not organic.

Republicans in the House cancelled the last two weeks of session to avoid a vote on releasing the remaining Epstein files about men in power who raped little girls. You don't give a shit about safety of women.
WOW! Senator Katie Britt just UNLEASHED on Democrats after not a single one showed up for today's hearing on Safety in Women's Sports: "It can't go unspoken that not one member on the other side of the aisle has had the respect for women to come in here and ask questions, to figure out how we get this right, how we stand up for fairness, for safety, for an opportunity for young women across the country." "It's absolutely ABSURD."

This perfectly sums up public school sports coaching. Parents are lucky anyone does it. As a high school Principal at a VERY wealthy school with lazy rich kids we always had underperforming sports teams. Yet the parents of my athletes expected championships in everything. They made my life and my coaches’ lives miserable. You still suck at sports #JohnsCrack.
This is the reality of trying to keep parents happy with their high school sports coach.

Thank you for this insightful read. Umpires aren’t perfect but they do a solid job for the most part.

CNN got the extended version of the much propagandized clip of @AOC & @NYCMayor Zohran Mamdani & it demolishes all the bad faith attacks. Extended footage shows Zohran standing in somber mood before AOC comes. They exchange greetings & return to somber mood thereafter.

🚨 NOW THIS IS WHY I KEEP SAYING CONTEXT MATTERS. Remember all the outrage over Mayor Zohran Mamdani and AOC smiling and laughing for a few seconds at the 9/11 ceremony? People immediately claimed: “THEY'RE LAUGHING WHILE THE VICTIMS' NAMES ARE BEING READ!” Okay. Then what do we do with THIS photograph from the SAME 9/11 CEREMONY? JD Vance smiling. Rudy Giuliani laughing. Other people around them smiling. And you know what? I'M NOT GOING TO ACCUSE THEM OF LAUGHING AT 9/11 VICTIMS EITHER. Because a photograph captures ONE SECOND. It doesn't tell us what somebody said. It doesn't tell us what joke was made. It doesn't tell us what happened immediately before or after that moment. And that's EXACTLY the point I've been making about Mamdani and AOC. A witness who said he was standing right beside them disputed the viral narrative and said the camera caught AOC greeting Mamdani. He also said Republicans and Democrats around them were laughing and joking at different moments. SO LET'S HAVE ONE STANDARD. If a smiling photograph proves Mamdani and AOC were disrespecting 9/11 victims, what does this photograph prove? Or maybe just maybe NEITHER photograph proves anybody was laughing at the victims. People interact. People greet each other. People smile. Even during solemn events that last for hours. We can criticize politicians for their policies and their actual conduct all day long. But taking a few seconds out of context and assigning somebody the ugliest possible motive because we don't like their politics? THAT'S NOT FAIR TO ANYBODY. Republican or Democrat. Christian, Muslim or Jewish. SAME FACTS. SAME STANDARD. SAME ACCOUNTABILITY. 🇺🇸🕯️ And on September 11, the focus should ultimately remain where it belongs: ON THE VICTIMS, THEIR FAMILIES AND THE HEROES WE PROMISED NEVER TO FORGET. @RyanShead Look at the Maga HYPOCRISY #NeverForget #911Truth #ContextMatters #FactsMatter #OneStandard #Maga #Mandani #Lies #Elonmusk #Donjr #DonaldTrump #Impeachment #Congress #Democrats #VoteBlue26

Maybe I’m just trying to rationalize my summer nap habit, but I think, perhaps, we teachers hibernate. After filling up on our time with kids for 9 months, we have to go into a state of hibernation to continue teaching. Yeah, maybe that’s it. Hibernation makes it Bearable. 😉

This is exactly how .@FoxNews propaganda works. Not by lying outright, but by choosing exactly which true facts to show you, and which ones to bury. Yes, Massachusetts removed its 24-week limit. What Fox doesn't tell you: this covers rare, devastating cases, fatal fetal anomalies, maternal health emergencies, so families don't have to fly out of state during the worst moment of their lives. Also missing: "very few" abortions happen after 24 weeks at all. Fox lets you imagine healthy, full-term babies being aborted on a whim. That's not what this law does. That's the manipulation. This is the same network that agreed to pay $787.5 million for lying to us about stolen election. They do so much harm to our nation.
A blue state just legalized abortion up until birth. Surrounded by applauding women, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey signed a sweeping abortion bill Monday that removes the state’s gestational age limit, giving health care providers greater discretion to perform abortions later in pregnancy. The law replaces the state’s previous general restriction on abortions after 24 weeks, with limited exceptions, and is set to take effect in 90 days. Massachusetts becomes the 10th state to remove gestational age limits on abortion, according to the report. Read more⬇️
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Massachusetts already allowed post-24-week abortions for fatal anomalies and maternal health emergencies. The new law removes those specific qualifying circumstances and instead permits them based solely on a physician's judgment, with no listed restrictions. wbur.org/news/2026/08/1…

Limiting school suspensions is not the answer. When people argue that suspensions “don’t help the student who misbehaves,” they often forget about the students who are there to learn. Negative behavior impacts the entire class, not just the one student causing the disruption.
