Well, ladies and gentlemen, Starship of @SpaceX has for the first time reached the orbit and contributed with a real commercial work (delivery to orbit of the first set of @Starlink V3 satellites). It is also the largest man made object delivered to orbit in a single launch!
I'm very excited for this one! @AstroForge will launch their interesting Autonomy-1 mission (fully autonomously driven space mission) on @stoke_space Nova Pathfinder fully reusable rocket. These are two pioneering projects connected into one launch. What can possibly be more exciting than this?!

This seems quite scarce in the X feed, so I'm reposting. It appears that Chinese leader Xi Jinping had an acute health issue. While the details are not yet fully verified, one of the politicians from the Chinese Democratic Party provided some information.
据传，习近平在印度主办的金砖峰会上晕倒，经随行医疗团队的紧急救治后，提前结束对印度的访问，搭乘专机返回中国。飞机抵达北京机场后，北京当局没有安排大批官员接机，也没有组织欢迎仪式，而是用军用直升机，直接将习近平送到了北京301医院，进行急救。
据称，经北京301医院专家团队的诊断，确定习近平患了严重的缺血性中风，也就是短暂的脑梗死。由于习近平怕印度方面获取他的身体健康信息，所以，他拒绝在印度医院进行紧急救治，而是搭乘专机返回北京救治。由于飞行途中，没有手术条件，医疗团队只能痛殴保守型治疗，维持习近平的生命，因此，习近平已经失去了黄金急救和手术时间。在北京301医院，习近平即使能通过手术进行治疗，但很大的可能性，会留下严重的后遗症。

I have just finished @elonmusk biography by @WalterIsaacson.
I had my vision of the man, based on what I have seen in “legacy” and social media about him, and I have not expected significant update on it. Now the image of the most impactful innovator of our times seems more complete with all the background stories of the life behind the courtain of all the spectacular world-changing success of his companies.
“Sometimes great innovators are risk-seeking man-children who resist potty training.”
Before judging the man, I highly rcommend to read the book.
Great to see an important voice coming out with a sane and cold headed piece, against the regulatory and monopolistic capture of the AI frontier. Also, I would add that not only one or two few safety oversight organizations (like METR) should be involved, to avoid easy unwanted capture of such.

How is it possible that the politicians of a continent that achieves nothing in AI and is completely lagging behind are the ones making the strongest demands for a ban and regulation of AI?

Latest AI doom wave led by @hilbertspaess deemed to be a psy op by @elonmusk. What do I think? Agree with Elmo, looks like the models are powerful, can do agentic magic, but the scale and intent toward doom has to be injected by humans. The solution: let the competition on, support as many competitors as possible, and make sure the development follows Asimov’s laws of robotics.
