Monte Kiffin, 84, peacefully passed away today in Oxford surrounded by family and friends. As his grandson Knox said, he’s free of pain and smiling down on us from above. Please keep the Kiffin family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.

B.C. Lions QB Nathan Rourke, who set CFL records last season before visiting with 12 NFL teams in recent weeks, has chosen to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars, per source. Rourke will be expected to compete to back up Jaguars’ QB Trevor Lawrence.

Let me fix this for you @PierrePoilievre 1) was one of two PCs to retain his seat in 1993 2) increased PC seat count by 10x 3) won the popular vote in 1998 QC election 4) won the 03/07/08 QC elxns 5) PP was a cabinet member for 2 years of a 10 year govt
Political trivia challenge: is there anyone in federal politics today who has lost as many elections as Jean Charest? Serious question.

Great thread. I think the UK Tory model of having caucus vote until it gets down to two and then the members vote in a run off is a good compromise.
The House of Commons at large chooses the PM. That is our system of government. Within the Commons, the members of each caucus choose their leader. That was our system of government, until some ill-considered “reforms” that we have since had ample cause to regret.
The Jr Mustangs Organization have lost the heart and soul of our family. We are sad to announce the passing of our Club General Manager, Jay Kenemy. Jay has made a significant impact to the London football community. He has coached at every level of football in our city.

I have a proven track record of conservative fiscal management. When I was Premier, we got through the economic crisis by cutting taxes and making life more affordable by putting money back in people's pockets.

Every time a Conservative wins, we learn that: - They didn't win a true majority with over 50%. - Voter turnout was lower than expected so this victory isn't reflective. Every time a Liberal wins, we learn that: - This represents a welcome change in the evolving electorate.

It's the same approach we took in the last federal election and it worked pretty well for us
Sooo … Abacus numbers are in the huge majority range But @DavidColetto limiting respondents to “DEFINITE VOTERS” badly skews the data It means 30% of the n=1500 sample was flushed out and cast *serious* doubt on the reliability of the numbers

Speaking of lies and bs, @ItsDeanBlundell your graphic is dead wrong. @liuna183 represents more than 58K workers in GTA alone. Thousands more in other cities. Desperate attempt to change the narrative.
Unions in Ontario do not support Doug Ford. It’s just another lie by a bunch of compulsive liars trying to hold on to power. It’s all bullshit.

There is no attack, no insult, no line that Poilievre won't cross in his pursuit of power. All he's ever been to our party is an opposition attack dog. A good one, no doubt. But we need a serious leader, one with experience and credibility. Join to vote: jeancharest.ca/membership

Retweeting this for some of the Londoners who I saw repeated the misinformation regarding PCs and private healthcare
NEW - There have been *no* changes to blood tests that are covered under OHIP, the Ontario Ministry of Health confirms to CityNews (statement below) this after a number of viral tweets suggested that some were being charged money for bloodwork or screening tests.

Vaccine mandates saved lives, and Conservative premiers across Canada supported those mandates. We cannot let the Conservative Party of Canada become the anti-science party. It's simply unacceptable. #Cdnpoli

There are multiple editorials across all papers giving openly negative views of the startling Poilievre claim that as PM he would fire the Gov of Bank and destroy Bank’s independence. Is this a turning point in campaign? #cdnpoli nationalpost.com/opinion/kel…
