people seem to not know this, so just for the record, chris rock has directed 4 feature films: head of state (2003) I think I love my wife (2007) top five (2014) misty green (2026) only two of them are good. the other two are unbearable.

#FJORD is a morally challenging but brilliantly executed film about governmental overreach in a modern Norwegian society. Can get deeper here but won’t as to preserve the experience of others. Hard hard hard recommend once it releases wide #NYFF64

just as there was no more essential film in ‘24 than NO OTHER LAND, there’s no more essential work this year than NAZA. made not by filmmakers, but heroes. silence is complicity; this vital, terrifying exposé is a loud decrial of this vile genocide. full review to come. #nyff64

#NAZA is one of the most horrifying movies I’ve seen in my young life, despite being engaged with the events happening. Everyone needs to see this movie, full stop. #NYFF64

#ALONGWINTER is a well made flick, but a flick whose restraint holds it back. While I understand the approach, the end result is a little too frigid & melancholic (for both good and bad reasons). Good stuff from Fred Hechinger and Ebon Moss-Bachrach! #NYFF64
