After 5.5 years reporting for @AnnapolisPatch, I recently moved to another publication.
I will forever be grateful to @PatchTweet for taking a chance on a bright-eyed reporter, days after graduating during the pandemic. 🧵(1/3)
Mentors taught me how to earn community trust, build a source network and tell stories with heart.
I will never forget scurrying to the Key Bridge collapse scene, trudging through floodwaters or touring tornado aftermath. (2/3)
More importantly, however, are the everyday neighbors who trusted me with their stories.
That people-first mindset will follow me into this exciting next chapter. More news on that soon! (3/3)
