3 - John wasn’t trying to be flashy or wanted fame
4 - John wasn’t afraid to call out governmental authorities and get put in jail for it
5 - finally, John was a man wanting to see the Kingdom of Jesus come more into view, I pray and seek that as well
For the dozens of followers that I picked up as of late🤣 welcome! I’m Jack, I love the Lord, my wife & kids, & my local church. I’m a Cleveland sports fan, cigar lover, and cohost this little boutique podcast called @reformatorypod. Particular Baptist and not mad about it 😎
Nothing like having @PatAbendroth DH for you as a @reformatorypod cohost and say keep Jack out of Genpop 🤣🤣insider baseball indeed
I will never be as funny as @joshlofthus, but at least he will interview me for @reformatorypod about the ascension. Enjoyed the conversation!

I don’t usually comment on politics, but I do have a political science degree so why not. Forget the impeachments and revenge tours, get new ethics bill passed
Jesus rule and reign doesn’t diminish or grow stronger because a political party is elected or kicked out
So I began daylight savings with a work trip to Columbus, Ohio. You know and doing Ohio things like rooting for sports teams that perpetually let you down, random O-H-I-O chants on airplanes, and listening to Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony as you cruise around at night.
I need this talk but on the state of preaching in North America because it could be a plug and play talk
Ten million people have watched a comedian accidentally destroy the entire TED talk industry.
He filmed the talk once at TEDxNewYork in 2014 and openly admitted he had nothing to say.
Speaking coaches charge $5,000 to teach the exact tricks he used in 6 minutes to say nothing at all.
His name is Will Stephen. He is a comedian from Late Night with Seth Meyers who was invited to give a real TED talk and used it to prove the format is a costume anyone can wear.
Every TED speaker opens with a question, tells a personal story, cites a scientist, and shows a chart. Stephen did all four in six minutes with zero content.
His entire formula fits on a napkin.
Gesture with both hands. Ask the audience a question anyone can answer. Tell a mildly embarrassing story so they say aww. Point to a stranger on a slide and call them important. Flash a chart of random numbers. Wear glasses with no lenses. The audience will think you are brilliant.
That last trick alone has probably cost the public speaking coaching industry a hundred million dollars in sessions clients should have skipped.
"If you watched me on YouTube with the sound off, you would think I was a genius."
That is Will Stephen on the TED stage, three minutes into the talk he was paid to give. He wasn't lying.
Executives pay $15,000 for a keynote coach and still open with a joke the room never laughs at. Founders rehearse their pitch for weeks and still sound like Stephen at minute four, saying "wagga wah, gabba gabba" with authority.
The talk is free on YouTube. The method is written across every TED speaker's playbook for ten years.
Stephen still writes for Seth Meyers. Almost none of the ten million viewers have stopped nodding at empty slides since.
The formula is free. The willingness to actually say something before your next keynote, pitch, or townhall is the entire edge.
I had this hankering tonight to listen to two songs back to back that would get me in the zone anytime I got on a Black Hawk or Chinook when I was in the Army:
-Hush: Deep Purple
-Nowhere to Run: Martha and The Vandellas
My dad was a Vietnam Vet and raised me on Motown

Ravens fire John Harbaugh and his staff including Todd Monken.
Browns hire Todd Monken as HC.
After 7 weeks, the Browns are in 1st place and the Ravens are in last.

#Browns HC Todd Monken on Browns fans showing up in Nashville:
“How about all the Browns fans? For God's sake, it sounded like our side of the stands was all Browns fans. That was so cool. That helped, and that was critically important in terms of getting us through."
