A good portion of my father’s side of the family has been in jail for violent felonies.
Mind you, I don’t talk to them or have much to do with them at all.
However, I faced a battery of questions and background investigations about them before the NYPD hired me. I had to tell my recruiter, in no uncertain terms, that I don’t associate with them and I don’t support that lifestyle.
El-Sayed gets mad because we’re asking him to do the same thing I had to do in order to join the Department.

Mass deportation works, the more illegals that are deported the more jobs open for Jersey citizens, see how that works! Thank you President Trump and ICE!
When I took office nine months ago, New Jersey’s unemployment rate was 5.2%. Today, it’s down to 4.2%. That’s real progress for New Jersey families – and we’re just getting started.
While job growth stagnates nationwide under Donald Trump and American families face soaring grocery and gas prices, we’re charting a different path here in New Jersey.
We’re focused on delivering what matters: lower costs, good jobs, less red tape from government, and more opportunities for our families and small businesses to get ahead.

So… I’ve been vacationing in Mexico all week, but I heard there’s a position open at the White House.
Anyone think I’d make a good Press Secretary?
“The NRA wants you to focus on how this was stopped…”
Correct. A heroic armed citizen saved innocent lives. Your failed gun control policies and “Gun-Free Zone” stickers did not.
The NRA wants you to focus on how this was stopped, but the focus should be on how it started: a system that allowed a gun in the hands of a 16-year-old. By the time anyone could stop him, a 5-year-old, an 8-year-old, an 11-year-old, and their teacher were already dead. That’s not a reminder of anything except what our leaders failed to prevent.
