Our civil rebellions and protests are very minimal compared to European ones, mainly because we understand the depravity of how bad it can get on our own soil. Your French rebellion was really bad, but it was political violence. Our only civil war was absolutely horrible.
It was a conventional fight that wiped out a substantial portion of our population and set the precedent for the war conditions you Europeans experienced 50 years later in WWI, specifically trench warfare. We started that bullshit.
