Blessed to announce I have begun working with @DrivelineBB as a Baseball Operations Analyst and with @AgentiqSports as a Data Science Intern/Consultant. Thank you to @jacklambert__ , @zachkurtz12 , & everyone who has helped me regarding these opportunities - I am so grateful!
8+ IP conveniently removes some great seasons from players to throw meaningful innings in the WBC.
Broadened the minimum to 6 IP and qualitatively highlighted good/bad seasons relative to player expectation.
Not too clear of a signal...
No place better if you want to work at the frontier of tech + baseball. This is the spot

As @BaseballFreak_9 posted himself, amazing to see the growth of @dan_aucoin13.
From #Rays video intern to @DrivelineBB front desk man, he convinced us we needed an R&D department and built it into the behemoth it has become today.
Congratulations to AGM Dan Aucoin!

As a college coach, you control your players' development for just a few months in the fall and spring. Then they leave campus, and you just hope they keep developing.
With a Driveline Launchpad, you can guarantee they're continuing to develop all year round, with one cohesive training plan, whether they're on campus or at a Driveline facility.
See what a Launchpad could do for your program 📈

Ever seen a 6'7 lefty throwing 92 with a knuckleball? Look no further than @dalton_4222

Your high school stats alone won't get you recruited.
The gap between high school and D1 baseball is huge. HS upperclassmen max out around 97 mph exit velo. D1 average is 109. Most high school fastballs don't come close to the D1 average of 90.
Closing that gap takes more than reps in the cage. It takes strength training paired with a targeted hitting program, built together, not separately.

There's a pitch with a 40% whiff rate, and it's thrown less than 1% of the time.
The sweeper had the exact same profile in 2018. Is this pitch the new sweeper?

According to a commissioner’s office memo obtained by The Athletic, teams were pushing the boundaries of guidelines governing the use of technology by “in many cases” installing custom apps that expanded the use of the iPads “beyond their originally intended purpose to include recommendations regarding substitutions, pitch calling, and other in-game decisions traditionally made by players and coaches.”

MLB is banning the custom tab on the dugout iPads due to as many as ten power-user teams pushing the envelope on what is considered live inputs. Apps were generating pitch and substitution suggestions.
“Gotta stop the cheating before there’s cheating now," said one executive.
