People who don’t let the pain and hurt win are impressive. They have gone through serious difficulty and still they choose evolution over stagnation. To keep moving forward, even amidst the feelings of loneliness and defeat is the type of story that helps others do the same.

Today I'm over life lessons. Like enough with all the learnings ... just for today.
My mom taught aerobics and step class in the 80s and as a six year old - I used to attend in the back. When I remember that, for a tiny moment, life makes sense.

Why am I the most vulnerable and emotional at a parent teacher conference?
I miss when instagram was just photos. You know?

Why do people on social media platforms call you a 'bestie' when talking to their followers? To be clear, I'm not your bestie. I have worked my ass off for that title with a very few select people and I don't throw that around lightly.

I get asked all the time: 'how do you make the time to read?" I polled my book club, here are 17 tips to get you reading this year. jackicarr.com/blog-posts/how…
No. That right there is a complete sentence.

"You've changed." I used to think this was an insult. Now I take it as one of the highest compliments as I realize again that change is the only constant and you're right, I have changed. To change is to human.
I am needy. Said it. Meant it. As humans, we need one another by design. Why deny this to try to sound low maintenance or like we have it all together? What we actually need to be is together.
Me: I feel a change coming... Change: I'm already here.

I made the statement "I don't know" a new planet. I visit often. I sit there in an adirondack chair. I think and get uncomfortably curious. I honor the visit. And when ready, I get up and go. I had to make it a place. Somewhere I could come and go with a welcome sign. You know?
Why are we so gentle on ourselves to accept change in so many parts of our lives but not when our bodies change?

The college kid across from me is writing her resume and just said "I don't even know what I do." Oh the many times she will say that again....
