For @dwell I wrote about cooperative home buying: purchasing a house with your friends as a way to share costs and address issues like self-employment. Thanks to all the amazing people who generously shared their “house partner” stories with me! dwell.com/article/cooperativ…

For @dwell I wrote about @LATENT_DESIGN's new ADU. We talked about the reality of building a coach house, lucking out with an extra-wide lot, and the need to reduce parking minumums. And! *it's electric* dwell.com/article/chicago-ad…

How, 100+ days into genocide, does @nytimes justify their inhumane coverage? I’ll show you Here’s a top NYT standards editor talking abt passive voice & charges of bias in coverage during the 2021 Israeli bombing of Gaza They will always tell us it’s in favor of “fairness” 🧵
Not only is this untrue, given the deaths - killings - in Gaza over the part 24 and even 48 hours but it is shamefully indifferent to, and minimizing of, the ongoing mass death, starvation, and suffering ongoing in the strip. The Palestinians are unpeople.

Congratulations to @TombstoneStint for winning @SPJHawaii’s award for Best Explanatory Journalism for his coverage of Hawaii’s affordability crisis from our July/August 2022 issue. Read it here: dwell.com/article/hawaii-aff…
I won some SPJ awards earlier this week. I always say the same thing at times like this, because it never ceases to be true: winning awards feels good, but mostly I'm grateful that anyone takes their time to read my work. I appreciate you all. hawaiispj.org/results.txt
