Cleo Sol. I discovered her music during a time when I was going through a lot of pain and confusion. Her ‘Mother’ album put to words the things I was feeling but didn’t know how to express. There was healing in her music that I don’t think I had ever experienced before. @cleosol
“Baby Boy”, very specifically, the Destiny Fulfilled & Loving It tour version–intro & all. DC3 was my first “secular” concert ever in 2005 at EESSENCE Fest. That show changed my life and solidified Beyoncé as a force for me. I’d love to relive that experience in some capacity.
It was good. Basically her album is full of features with other artists, but her violin shines through in every track. It was a beautiful way to appreciate the instrumentation in hip-hop.
