The only real conclusion we can draw from the fact that 85% of the /England) squad signed for academies at the age of 8 is that 8 is the earliest age you can register for an academy. Correlation is not causation.

Asking them to bring their kids to a £30 a game talent ID team and they'll put them into a trial if they do.
