I love videos like this, because it shows how regular dudes can find regular women who love them, while highlighting how a lot of people on here are alone because theyβre insufferable human beings.

In 2005, LaVena Lynn Johnson, an E3 Private First Class in the United States Army, was found dead in a tent.
The autopsy report and photographs revealed Johnson had a broken nose, black eye, loose teeth, burns from a corrosive chemical on her genitals, and a gunshot wound to the mouth that seemed inconsistent with suicide.
Several reporters have suspected that the chemical burns were the result of attempts to destroy DNA evidence of a sexual assault. Additionally, bloody footprints were discovered outside of her living quarters.
Her death was controversially ruled as a suicide but her family to believe the United States Department of Defense covered it up.

The last American slave ship arrived in Mobile, Alabama, in 1860, despite the illegal importation of slaves. On board were approximately 160 West African individuals who had been captured and enslaved. One of the captives, named Cudjo Lewis, was acutely aware of the potential erasure of his birth culture as he toiled in this new land. However, when he eventually gained his freedom, Lewis took action to preserve his heritage.
Using the money he had earned, Cudjo Lewis purchased two acres of land and established a self-sufficient community for the survivors of the last slave ship. This community, known to outsiders as Africatown, aimed to recreate aspects of the West African home from which they had been forcibly removed. Lewis wanted to ensure that extended families could live together, conversations could be held in regional languages, and traditions that might otherwise have been lost in America could be maintained.
Today, Africatown still exists as a community and continues to house the descendants of the individuals who were brought to America on the nation's last slave ship. It stands as a testament to the resilience and determination of those who fought to preserve their heritage and maintain a sense of cultural identity in the face of tremendous adversity.

Archaeologists have utilized LIDAR technology to explore Calakmul, a vast urban area located in southern Mexico. By employing Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), scientists have been able to remove the dense rainforest cover and uncover the remnants of an ancient Mayan city, which is nearly twice the size of the City of Vancouver.
LIDAR, short for "Light Detection and Ranging," is a technology that allows researchers to examine the Earth's surface. This technology employs pulsed laser beams to measure variable distances, generating precise three-dimensional data about the Earth's shape and surface characteristics. By combining these laser pulses with other recorded information collected by airborne systems, LIDAR offers valuable insights into the examined area's topography.
The capabilities of LIDAR are remarkable. Kathryn Reese-Taylor, a professor at the University of Calgary, states, "You can be trying to survey and map sites in the rainforest, and what would take you years to accomplish, LIDAR can do in a couple of days of flying over these large areas."
The University of Calgary reports that an international team of researchers conducted a comprehensive LIDAR survey spanning over 36 square miles of forest canopy in southeastern Mexico, specifically in the Calakmul region. Calakmul served as a Mayan capital between approximately A.D. 635 and 850.
The survey findings unveiled an expansive urban settlement featuring extensive residential compounds concentrated around temples, shrines, and potentially marketplaces. The inhabitants of Calakmul relied on an advanced agricultural system supported by canals, terraces, walls, and dams. At its peak around A.D. 700, Calakmul was one of the largest cities in the Americas.

In the photograph captured during the March against Fear in 1966, civil rights activist James Meredith endured a heinous act of violence. He was shot in the head, back, and neck by an unidentified sniper who ambushed him while leading the march aimed at raising awareness about racism. Let us delve into Meredith's inspiring story:
Before the incident, James Meredith had already established himself as a notable figure. As a veteran air force pilot, he made history by becoming the first black man to be admitted to the University of Mississippi in 1962. Initially accepted, his admission was later revoked upon the discovery of his race. However, the U.S. Court intervened and ruled that the university had unlawfully discriminated against Meredith, thereby granting him access to the institution. On his first day at the university, Meredith was accompanied by law enforcement officers due to the high threat level posed by racist individuals in the area.
In 1966, Meredith orchestrated a march known as the "March Against Fear," in which he initially stood as the sole participant. Spanning an impressive distance of 220 miles, the march aimed to shed light on racism and encourage African Americans to exercise their right to vote for politicians supporting their civil rights in the upcoming elections.
On June 6, 1966, the second day of the march, as Meredith crossed the Mississippi border, he fell victim to an ambush orchestrated by a white man named Aubrey Novell. From a concealed position in a wooded area, Novell fired three shots at Meredith, inflicting severe injuries. It is important to note that despite police and FBI surveillance, this brutal attack managed to occur.
Fortunately, James Meredith survived the ambush. On June 26, civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. and other activists, along with thousands of participants, took charge of the march and successfully completed it. Meredith, determined and resilient, managed to rejoin the marchers shortly before its conclusion. Throughout the march, the group faced various forms of hostility, including attacks, harassment, and threats from both civilians and law enforcement personnel.
In the aftermath of the attack, Aubrey Novell was found guilty of assault; however, the punishment he received was lenient, with a mere two-year prison sentence. This outcome sparked further discussions and debates about the need for more stringent measures against racially motivated violence.
Remarkably, James Meredith is still alive today, at the age of 89, carrying with him the memories of his courageous actions and unwavering commitment to the fight for equality and justice.
