You promised to protect old-growth, @jjhorgan. Thousands of people across BC are calling on you to act before the last stands of ancient trees are gone forever. #ProtectOldGrowth #BCpoli xitter.cf/leadnowca/status/13820…
Crowdfunded by @wildernews @AncientForestBC @SierraClubBC & @leadnowca, we’re putting up a massive billboard on Vancouver Island’s busiest highway calling on @jjhorgan to deliver on his promise to protect old-growth.
Share this to make sure he sees it. #ProtectOldGrowth #BCpoli
ALT The background image of the billboard is if a clear-cut forest area. A person stands next to a massive, logged ancient tree. The text on top reads: "Beautiful" British Columbia?. On the bottom half, there is a red rectangle with the text: Horgan: Protect old-growth. At the bottom, the logos of Leadnow, Ancient Forest Alliance, Wilderness Committee, and Sierra Club BC. We've seen all too terribly the consequences of those who denied warnings of a pandemic. We can't afford any more consequences of climate denial. All of us, especially young people, have to demand better of our government at every level and vote this fall. latimes.com/politics/story/2…

The #IPCC released a special report today and it's full of sobering details. Our top concern? We’re seeing decreased snowpack and ice due to #climatechange which is also contributing to increased wildfires in our beloved mountain regions and the Arctic. buff.ly/2lJ2VCb
