Our Kindergarten Summer Learning Ss at Ocean Lakes loved exploring shadows! Even Dr. Reese joined in! @FlinnNancye @vbschools @oceanlakeses @vbcpsdtal
Short weeks still mean #biglearning for @oceanlakeses Ss! “Convince Me That” warm-up (👀 at those responses!), hands-on game stations, and #fact fluency. “To do 2x9 I just did one two on my 2x8!” 🥰 @VBMathRocks @VBMollyLewis
2nd graders reevaluating their earlier #exemplar work this time self-assessing with the rubric & using manipulatives to support creating representations. @charwidel @pmesvb @VBMathRocks @MaureenFanelli @VBGifted
Sunny Friday afternoons are made for hands-on measurement lessons outside.🚰 4th grade @pmesvb Ss investigated liquid capacity by exploring conversions. #5cs @vbschools @VBMathRocks @MaureenFanelli
Metric Measurement Conversion- the Unit stays the same, it’s just the prefix that “pops” on and off. Thanks Katie K. for collaborating on this unit! @VBMathRocks @vbcpsopec @vbschools @oceanlakeses
1st Graders in @missshindelar’s class finishing the week strong with Same But Different and a 3-Act Task! Precise math language, problem solving, and full engagement! @LooneyMath @gfletchy @VBMathRocks @pmesvb @MaureenFanelli @vbschools
When you're trying to record #asynchronous Math material, but your former #mathspecialist AP still pulls the fire alarm😉....#SafetyFirst #justadrill @MaureenFanelli @pmesvb @VBMathRocks @vbschools @vbcpsdtal
Week 1 of #virtuallearning is in the books. Spent time supporting #Kindergarten Ts & Ss - it should be mandatory for all #school #leadership to sub in Kinder. 😂 As a coach, it was an invaluable empathy exercise! ❤️ @vbschools @BeachSupe @VBMathRocks #vbamazing
Just one example of amazing resources educators are creating & then freely sharing for others. Thanks @DanShuster for this! @VBMathRocks
Happy Friday! Want Google Slides of @openmiddle problems to use virtually? I made 4th, 5th and now 6th grade sets. Make a copy.

Going into @oceanlakeses to complete #virtual #coachestraining. Being there (6 ft. apart!) with our #leadershipteam makes me so excited to kick off this year! I don’t know how it will all look, but I know @vbschools & @BeachSupe are giving it their all! 😊
I loved teaching Rube Goldberg Machines! @RyanFoster25 - this feels like something you can totally do! 🏀 The Swish Machine: 70 Step Basketball Trickshot: youtu.be/Ss-P4qLLUyk via @YouTube

Remember when they said we need state tests & report cards because otherwise teachers & principals would slack off?
Well, testing & state report cards are canceled and all I see are teachers & principals working harder than ever before.
Let’s trust our professionals.
@DevinScillian Thanks For writing an amazing book- we love it in this house, no matter what gastrointestinal kind of day we’re having.🤦🏼♀️
Working from home is great. As long as you don’t have a 3 y/o. 🤦🏼♀️ At least she didn’t curse. Oh, and for the record, my stomach was fine all day.😐 Be sure to have sound on, her gem’s at the end. 🔊 #VBAlwaysLearning @vbschools @VBMathRocks
Grabbing some things then home to practice making math videos. Time to channel my inner @nancy_estepa 😉❤️ Now 🤞🏻 my 3 y/o (who maaaay have cursed at preschool recently) doesn’t interrupt #vbalwayslearning @vbschools @VBMathRocks @BeachSupe
When @BrWhite8 & I left the classroom we knew we would miss the Ss the most - we sent all our kids from last year a message on @Schoology & had a @Google Meet to check on them. ❤️ @BeachSupe @vbschools #VBAlwaysLearning @PGIVBCPS
Yesterday we found out schools were closed. Today, @oceanlakeses Kinder T’s dove into supporting Ss at home. No excuses. No complaints about tech. Many talked as they took care of their own kids. The best. ❤️@BeachSupe @VBMollyLewis @lmreese3 @vbschools #VBAlwaysLearning
Pt. 1 of our @pmesvb Collab was serious planning...Pt. 2? Seriously competitive Kahoot. #nopoints #stillcompeting #VBAlwaysLearning Thanks @ITS_LPate for saving our sanity! @BeachSupe @vbschools
