This was one of the things I hated about the early days of Facebook when all these people from my hometown wanted to connect. I get that most of them probably grew out of it and might be perfectly fine adults. But that doesn’t erase the lifelong hurt they caused

To that end I think it’s important to give permission to ourselves and others to not force anyone to reconnect with people who have caused harm. Moving on doesn’t need to mean forgive, forget, and expose for the sake of optics

I hope that all my people-pleasing, passive mutuals learn to stand up for themselves and realize ya'll are worth more than the love-bombing narcissists who keep you around so long as you adhere to their unwritten rules of engagement

Reminder to take note how those people treat folks who don't "fall in line" and remember it's in their best interest to keep you blinded / passive. It's easy (been there) but as soon as you start growing a backbone it really all comes crashing down

BREAKING: New Jersey Republican Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour was assassinated outside her home. This was the scene overnight in Sayreville where her white SUV crashed after gunshots rang out. Police say it appears she was targeted and are still searching for several suspects.
