Hey everyone, this is Josh taking over Andy's account for this one tweet.
For the past week, I’ve been shadowing Andy and the team at VeeFriends!
After spending time with Andy and learning how he runs a fast-paced startup with so many moving pieces, he sat down with me to share some advice. He thought it would be a good idea for me to write down his advice in my own words, as a task for myself, and because it might provide value to someone else here on X as well!
Here are Andy’s five principles for success for young people like myself who want to find great career opportunities and achieve professional success after landing a job:
1. Ask Questions. You can’t be afraid to speak up and ask. Even if you’re worried you’ll look stupid, just know there are other people in the room with the same question. When you ask, you are helping everyone. VeeFriends teams use all sorts of acronyms and phrases, so trust you’ll have questions. Know that the confidence will come, and your understanding will grow exponentially.
2. Assumptions Are the Devil. Never assume projects or tasks will just get done. If you assume someone else might, just might, have it handled, there are plenty of chances it won’t happen. By clarifying and communicating clearly, you can ensure positive results.
3. Stay Curious. When you stop being curious, you stop learning, and you’re going to stunt your career growth. Always be on the lookout for what’s new, improved, or more efficient. The AI program you use for a project and think is the best today will very likely not be the best AI service tomorrow. You’ll only know these things as long as you stay curious, never let that spark die!
4. Lead with Trust, Not Fear. When engaging with coworkers and teammates, show the trust you have in them. An environment built on trust leads to better shared results. When trust is instilled, you see how the hard work and dedication follow. It is clear that Andy has inspired productivity and engagement within his team. Trying to strike fear into others can only lead to a low-quality product and effort.
5. Run Towards the Problem. When a problem arises within, be sure to approach it head-on. Collective action is the key to a quick solution: don’t shy away! Bring others in so everyone on the team is aware and ready to help. For personal issues, advocate for yourself based on how you feel and what you need. No matter what, don’t let problems build up inside you or around your team. Immediate feedback and direct conversations matter for a healthy environment.
These pillars are only possible if you also practice hard work and patience in everything you do. With these guidelines, there’s no limit to what you can achieve over time. Learning from Andy and the team has been a truly wonderful experience—VeeFriends is one of a kind. I’ve gained so much knowledge in just a few days, and I’m excited to jump-start my professional career with Andy’s advice and mentorship at the forefront of my mind. This is wild.
Japan's Kawasaki just built a 4 legged robot, CORLEO, that runs, climbs, and jumps like a horse.
Runs on hydrogen.
Feels like riding a sci-fi beast🤯

Kawasaki, in fact, did not build a 4 legged robot, CORLEO, that runs, climbs, and jumps like a horse. This video is complete CGI. There is a prototype but can only stand and pose. Author admits as much in a response:
