Re-upping this tweet & 100% agree with Nikole Hannah-Jones. Just got through reading both of these books these last few days while on vaycay & they’re absolutely a must read for all journalists. Looking forward to more reporting in 2022.
I used to only read history. Now I’m mostly reading on fascism and authoritarianism and how how democracies fail. If you’re a journalist in these times and not doing the same, I’m wondering why.
