This chocolate and Vanilla marble Mermaid themed cake was for Ruby -Jades 5th birthday . Her mum kept her busy upstairs when I delivered it so she had a surprise later😁

I won a bag of @dezaancocoa Carbon Black cocoa powder recently so made these little tarts for tonight's dessert. The tart case is a sable biscuit using the cocoa powder there is a layer of coffee mousse a thin layer of Amaretto Jaconde sponge and layer of dark chocolate ganache

Lots of baking this weekend including the Florentines from the #GBBO and #the_baking_nanna tray bake. Ist time making Tiramisu too used Amaretto as didn't have coffee liqueur. Christmas cake has had a drink and is now cosseted away for a while

Handmade shortbread biscuits decorated in Royal icing and hand painted. First time doing biscuits like these. Happy Easter everyone 😀

My contribution to the #GBBOTwitterBakeAlong. Syrup was a bit darker than I wanted on the pineapple upside down puds. The Battenburg is vanilla sponge and freeze dried strawberry with a homemade rhubarb and strawberry jam. 😋🍓@the_baking_nanna @Rob_C_Allen
