Last night, my Emerging Waves started in Prague.
Holding space in two new cities in less than six months feels like a lot. Really a lot. So this quote fits where my head is right now.
Emergin Waves on 30.09 and 07.10 are free. Registration: tally.so/r/VLrBaa

Ever notice how you feel completely different walking out of a live show compared to listening at home? There's actual science behind this.
When humans move together, whether it's dancing at a concert, doing group fitness, or even walking in a crowd, our bodies literally sync up. Heart rates align. Breathing matches.
Scientists refer to it as "physiological synchrony".
Our brains have mirror neurons that fire when you watch others move.
In a crowd, they're working overtime, which is why you suddenly feel braver, more energetic, or emotionally charged.
This is why:
- You sing louder at concerts than in your car.
- You push harder in group fitness than in solo workouts.
- You feel more confident dancing when everyone else is moving.
This isn't just psychology, it's biology.
We're literally designed to regulate each other's nervous systems through shared movement and energy.
For me, this sometimes happens at music festivals and regularly at 5 Rhythms workshops.
When did you feel this last time?
Some of the most profound breakthroughs of my life happened in rooms full of strangers.
In these large group movement sessions, you blend in.
While everyone is absorbed in their own journey, you're granted the ultimate permission:
to be completely authentic.
There's no spotlight.
No individual scrutiny.
Just you, surrounded by others who are also discovering themselves through movement.
The energy in the room supports you and lets you set your ego aside.
I remember the moment my body finally let go of 30 years of old trauma.
I felt a rush of energy, sadness, and happiness all at once.
That experience has stayed with me.
It happened because I felt safe in that crowd, protected by what I used to fear:
being just another person in the room.
Being in a big group doesn't take away from your experience.
It can actually help you feel braver.
When everyone is moving, no one is watching.
When no one is watching, everything becomes possible.
Sometimes we heal most when we stop trying to be noticed and just let ourselves be.
When a large group engages in embodied movement practice, something profound shifts in the room.
We're no longer just individual people doing our own healing work.
We start to feel connected, and the group has an impact that goes beyond what one person could do alone.
The group setting makes each person's experience stronger.
Where you might hit resistance alone, the group field carries you through.
Where you might feel stuck, the collective momentum helps you flow.
Many might call it resonance, but practitioners know it as the feeling of being lifted by something larger.
In large groups, breakthroughs happen more easily, emotions move more fluidly, and healing accelerates.
We're reminded that we're not meant to heal only in isolation.
We're reminded that healing doesn’t need to be painful or aggressive.
We're wired for connection, even in our deepest transformational work.
Real freedom is not just doing whatever we want.
Real freedom in self-development context is about noticing and letting go of the habits and patterns that run our lives without us realizing.
Change starts when we are willing to do things differently, and science backs this up 100%.
Our will grows stronger when we practice being more aware.
With time, these practices turn into a steady discipline. This is what helps us drop old fears and ways that do not feel true, so we can be more ourselves.
I believe it is important to include embodied presence in this process.
This means practicing staying present in your body, feeling your emotions, and letting them move through you instead of letting them control you.
"It takes discipline to be a free spirit.” - Gabrielle Roth
Today was a rough day. I woke up tired, with no energy.
Calls did not go as planned.
I went to the store and forgot the things I actually needed. I could feel anxiety building, and I know tonight will probably be another night of poor sleep.
Still, I can call this a good day. It reminded me to keep moving forward and to trust myself. Everything I tried to do today came from a good place. I was doing it for me. Maybe today just was not the day for things to work out.
Today reminded me not to let fear run my life.
When I do, I start to question my work, my goals, and my relationships. That kind of energy tries to take over.
Choosing to focus on trust every day can change how you see things. When bad days happen, acknowledge them and let them be. There is a lot you cannot control.
Put your energy into what you can change.
After 15 years of practicing @5Rhythms I am still amazed by the magic it brings each time.
Trying to explain what happens to my mind and body is both difficult and simple at the same time.
From the bottom of my heart, I feel endless love and gratitude for Gabrielle Roth, who gave us the beautiful gift of 5 Rhythms.
Your body holds your entire workday. Time to let it go.
After a long day at your desk, your body and mind are still in work mode.
Try this quick 2-minute reset:
- Sit or stand where you are. Take 3 deep breaths. No need to worry about perfect posture.
- Start with your head. Check if your jaw is tight or your forehead is tense. Let your face relax.
- Move to your shoulders. Lift them up toward your ears, hold for 3 seconds, then let them drop. Notice the release.
- Look at your hands. If they're clenched, open them. Shake out your fingers.
- Notice your feet on the ground. Press them down and wiggle your toes. Bring your attention back to the present.
- Check in with yourself. Ask: What does my body need right now? It could be water, a stretch, or just a moment to pause.
Your body remembers every stressful moment during the day.
This quick check-in signals to your body that work is done and it's safe to relax.
After 15 years of practicing conscious movement, I realized something important about how to handle chaos in life.
I've been obsessed with this question: How do we expand our capacity to deal with more?
This question feels even more relevant now, at a time when so much is changing both inside us and around us.
In thinking about this, I noticed that people often talk about holding stress or anxiety in the body. But we also lock in joy, love, and a sense of safety.
However, the challenge is that our nervous systems can get stuck in survival mode for a long time, sometimes years or even decades.
To begin changing this pattern, it starts with awareness, then shifting beliefs, and finally moving the body. For me, conscious dance or active meditation is where real change begins.
Ultimately, the body knows how to heal. Sometimes, it just needs us to let it move.
It's important to note that this isn’t meant to replace therapy. Instead, it should work alongside it and become an important part of personal growth.
People only change when the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the pain of making a change.
Sometimes we need to be alone.
There are struggles we must face alone.
At times, it is important to travel alone.
Sometimes we must make decisions alone.
Healing often happens best when we find our own path.
Let go of what others expect.
Focus on what feels right for you.
Many things in life are about pain.
Naturally, we as humans like to avoid pain as much as possible.
We naturally seek the path of least resistance.
But what is in our control is usually not enough to avoid the pain.
There are some who seek pain and seek discomfort.
They know this is where growth happens fastest.
Growth often happens in the balance between comfort and challenge.
This is the place where dark and light meet.
No attachments, just full awareness that helps us face pain and grow.
Be gentle, it doesn’t need to be harsh at all.
