Our biggest breakthrough came when we discovered a mysterious public repository containing the entire source code:

Apparently, it’s been there since September 17, 1991.
35 YEARS AGO.
So yeah, we didn’t actually build anything.
Turns out the Linux community solved the whole “free and open-source operating system” problem 35 years before AI made generating code trendy.
Jokes aside, massive respect to Linus Torvalds, the Linux Foundation, and the thousands of developers and contributors who have built and maintained the Linux kernel over the decades.
While everyone’s celebrating AI for making software free and open source, these legends have been doing it since before most AI startups existed.
The future is AI-powered. The foundation was built by people who read the documentation.
