I am reflecting on the countries that have done a good job containing the spread of coronavirus while respecting human life and dignity. Interestingly these are countries that seem locked out or forgotten in the global discourse.

Taiwan and Hong Kong both are strong economic powers but if you don't want to upset China, your country will dance around a firm alliance. Cuba is sanctioned and vilified. New Zealand is small and at the end of the world so non threatening.
