When I was in college doing my B.Tech, I used to almost all of my classmates from the SC, ST and OBC categories applying for scholarships and getting 50–90% of their fees refunded by the UP government.
Whenever GC students tried to apply, their application forms were torn up by the college. They were specifically scolded for even trying to apply for a government scheme, let alone having the government decide whether they were eligible or not.
I never needed or tried to apply, but some of my friends used to cry because of their financial problems and the way they were treated by the college.
Who will talk about this oppression?

एक लड़का आरक्षण से IIT पहुँचा। कम नंबर न आए, इसलिए चोरी कर रहा था। वह टॉपर बनना चाह रहा था। पर एक मनुवादी शिक्षक ने उसे कॉलेज के कानून बताए, सस्पेंड किया भी नहीं। उसने आत्महत्या कर ली।
क्या एक दलित को फोन ले जाने अनुमति नहीं होनी चाहिए? क्या ऐतिहासिक प्रताड़ना के कारण उसको ओपन मोबाइल परीक्षा देने की अनुमति नहीं होनी चाहिए?
आज एक ब्राइट स्टूडेंट, जो जेट इंजन बना सकता था AI से पूछ कर, हमारे बीच इसलिए नहीं रहा क्योंकि उससे पहले ही चरण में रोक लिया गया। मोदी एक्ट इसीलिए बना ही है।
प्रोफेसर को फाँसी होनी चाहिए।

This Rakshabandhan, SC/ST men should simply make all GC women their sisters. 😊
After all, if marrying a GC woman to an SC/ST man is supposed to "end casteism", then by that logic, making GC women sisters to SC/ST men should throw Casteism out of the window.
If building relationships is the solution, what better bond than that of a Brother and Sister?
Dusron ko apni behen ki shaadi karwane ka mashwara dene se behtar hai, khud behen bana lo.

Reservation is neither a Fundamental Right nor a right guaranteed by the Constitution. Strictly speaking, reservation is not a "right" at all. It is a constitutional provision that allows the government to provide affirmative action. Reservation itself is not part of the Constitution basic structure.
Therefore, reservation can legally be abolished. It is not impossible to do so.

GCs should seriously consider forming a political party of their own. No major party genuinely cares about their interests. They may not win many seats, but at least they’ll have a political identity and a platform to raise issues that matter to them.
