The Vice President of the United States has just admitted it. The Iran war cost Republicans Congress.
"The reason we lost is the war," JD Vance wrote this morning. "To the people who are pissed off and want to say, 'I told you so': you're right, you did tell us so."
We did. Repeatedly.
Days after the 2024 election, I wrote President Trump a letter: KEEP THE NEOCONS OUT. Personnel is policy. Keep the war lobby out of the Oval Office.
In March 2025 I warned the hawks wanted a SecDef who'd start a war with Iran. Weeks into the war, I said the "intel" behind it was dodgy. Very.
It was sold as a four-to-five-week operation. It's now in its eighth month. 23 American troops dead. 865 wounded. 63 percent of voters now say attacking Iran was the wrong call.
Nobody in Washington wanted to hear it. Now the Vice President is saying it for us.

The American people do not owe “loyalty” to any politician. They owe loyalty to us. Your loyalty is to your nation. You support politicians when they do the right thing and criticize them when they do the wrong thing. They serve you. Not the other way around.

I’ve been checked out of politics because I remember what we all went through from the 2016-2024 to get the current admin to where they are today.
Average Americans were beaten in the streets, had their businesses targeted, were jailed, censored, fired and attacked all for wearing a MAGA hat and supporting America first policy.
People died to get Trump elected and every single weak-willed Republican took everything we did and spat it back in our faces.
Now the average young voter can’t afford a home and every time we hear a politician talking about the welfare system it’s young law-abiding Americans who are portrayed as the people mooching off the system.
It’s exhausting and it’s why so many young people have tuned out of politics. We showed up, we fought, and the Republicans in turn told us they couldn’t pass the SAVE Act and laughed at us when we said there was an affordability crisis.

It’s becoming evident that TPUSA is effectively dead.
These are unbelievably horrible young demographic numbers.
They’ve made so many bizarre inexplicable decisions and have mishandled nearly every PR crisis.
The endless milking of Charlie’s death for fundraising turned a lot of people off. They seem to be unwilling to admit they make any mistakes.
The Charlie Kirk show is basically a drama fest, attacks on Candace, pleas for money, and no real substance.
Some of the speakers at events are great but they throw in weird cringy internet influencers that no one is inspired by.
I got mailers almost daily for months begging me with weird manipulative language demanding I send them money to honor Charlie.
The GOP doesn’t have effective youth vote outreach, our messaging to them is basically go die in the desert for oil, and without Charlie there’s little to no infrastructure on the right. Tonight it was on full display.
There’s some good people over there and some friends I care about but man it isn’t working overall guys.
Such a loss for our nation.

What an absolutely galling analysis from @JDVance. Where does one even start?
The Vice President tells us:
“The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel”
In reality, J.D., all you need is #3. It covers the others entirely, and a few you missed. And yet you have it 3rd! Why? Because you apparently needed a pollster to explain that betraying the coalition that elected you was going to piss them off.
The issues you’re missing include: the breathtaking corruption of your administration, covering up for the Epstein class, failure to deliver on MAHA and failure to properly investigate notorious political crimes.
Putting America first is all you had to do. If your administration had done that, you’d have been in great shape. Having failed to do it, no amount of clever rhetoric and rallies could possibly have saved you.
And whatever they’re telling you, J.D., the people who showed up and put you in office in ‘24 did not suddenly vote for race-bating Marxists in ‘26.
You are the Vice President. This is not inherently your fault, but it becomes your fault if you keep playing along.

Last night was a referendum on the Iran war. The American people have emphatically rejected it, and the results at the polls confirmed what we’ve been warning about for months.
President Trump needs to understand that he still has the option to course correct on Iran. End the war now. Walk away, and commit the rest of his term to improving the lives of the American people.
Trump still has the power to do the right thing. He can still avert the disaster of a catastrophic escalation. He needs to focus on taking care of his fellow Americans if he has any hope in salvaging his legacy.
End the war. Put the American people first.

You had the chance to begin the process of saving our election system from the radical left. By passing the SAVE America Act. But K Street either didn’t care or opposed it. So why bother, right?
Because the GOP Senate only does what can be monetized via those endless lobbyist dinners / fundraisers. If it can’t raise you money? Probably not worth doing.
And you BERATED @BasedMikeLee for trying to get you to work full weeks, to try to pass the SAVE America Act. Or to work a weekend sometime. Or not to recess for weeks in March and then again recess for a month in August. You and your fellow GOP Senators told him that nobody cared about the SAVE America Act. That he needed to sit down and shut up.
And the American people watched you, day after lazy, do-nothing day. And how you literally could not come up with a single idea to manage the Senate rules to get the bill passed. You just could not figure it out. Because you really didn’t and don’t care. And because you just are clueless.
What’s all the fuss, you say. It’s not a big deal to you that our election system has been taken over and manipulated by the left. That aliens by the hundreds of thousands are on our voter rolls, that there are illegal votes by the thousands in the election results…and that it matters. It matters to the USA. But not to you @LeaderJohnThune
So now, you don’t have to worry about it. You don’t have to be in charge of producing meaningful results for the American people. They just sent you to your room without any supper.
