IAS is Positioning Prediction Markets as the Future of Information and Strategy.
Early birds will be rewarded
Prediction Market 101:
How the price changes when new information comes in.
On October 8, the polymarket for “Will Hurricane Isaias become Category 3 or higher?” was around 46¢.
The next day it jumped to 95¢.
That happened because new weather reports came out.
The market moved as people reacted to the latest information.
Simple lesson: The price you see is the market’s current estimate of how likely something is to happen.
When fresh news comes out, the price usually moves.
Before you trade, always check two things:
-What exactly needs to happen for the market to pay out.
-Whether you’re looking at the real information or just headlines.
Weather markets are good practice because the official updates are public and clear.
And since the official updates are public, finding out where Polymarket takes information and data to resolve these markets is the edge.
The same idea works on sports, politics, or crypto markets.
Have you seen a market move fast after news came out?

🔥 THE SUNDAY DEBATE:
SPORTS vs. POLITICS MARKETS
Sports markets are driven by form, stats, and performance.
Politics markets? Narratives, public sentiment, and unexpected moves.
Both have odds. Both have uncertainty. Both can fool you.
But here's the question:
Which market rewards better analysis, and which one punishes overconfidence harder? 👀
Pick your side. Defend your edge.

Highlight of the important market
Two Markets 📊. Two Big Questions. What Are the Odds Telling Us?
Will Democrats gain control of the Senate?
Will the US invade Iran before 2027?
These markets highlight two different areas of uncertainty which are the US political control and geopolitical developments.
Both reveal how traders respond to new information and adjust their expectations.
The odds are only part of the story. Understanding the context, probabilities, and shifts in market sentiment is just as important.
The real question isn't just where the odds stand, but what could move them next. 👀
The Nasarawa 2027 governorship market on Polymarket is pricing Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada (APC) as the heavy favourite, but legal and party risks around his nomination are real and under-discussed.
Wadada won the May 2026 APC primary with 195,285 votes.
Former IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu finished a clear second (~39,675–49,675), and Prof.
Mohammad Sani Haruna (ex-NASENI boss) came third (~5,844).
Wadada has Governor Abdullahi Sule’s endorsement and the ruling party’s machinery.
However, his path is contested:
👉An APC chieftain (Barr. Tari Trochon) petitioned the party and filed a Federal High Court suit in Abuja seeking to disqualify him over alleged dual membership of SDP and APC.
He left SDP for APC around Aug/Sep 2025 but continued holding the Senate Public Accounts Committee chairmanship (conventionally for the opposition) for months afterward.
The amended Electoral Act criminalises dual membership.
👉 Prof. Haruna has publicly rejected the primary as a “sham” and “allocation of figures,” citing irregularities, missing materials in many wards, and intimidation, and has called for a fresh primary.
👉Adamu left APC citing lack of internal democracy and process issues in the primary, joined SDP, and is now the confirmed SDP candidate on INEC’s final list.
These are live nomination risks, not post-election Certificate of Return issues.
With APC in power nationally and in Nasarawa, the party has incentives to manage or resolve chaos around its flagbearer.
Adamu’s shares on Polymarket have moved sharply higher in recent days (from low single-digit cents into the mid-to-high teens/20s), reflecting rising attention on the opposition alternative.
Buying No on Wadada (or Yes on Adamu) is a defined way to express the view that the legal/primary challenges or a cleaner APC alternative could still matter before February 2027.
Not investment advice, markets can reprice quickly on court updates or party decisions.
