Best way to get promoted? Advocate for yourself! I’ve seen amazing engineers struggle to get promoted bc they don’t feel comfortable sharing their contributions. Others have struggled bc they don’t frame things around business impact. Best ways to advocate for yourself:

Turns out, you can't trust that @ShopTSC is telling you the truth. My iPad, they said "Order from us now, we've got lots in stock so you'll have it for Christmas!" Been on backorder, not stocked as promised, and probably won't be here until Dec 31...

Plus, customer service was curt and condescending on the phone with me (I have a recording). Anyone else ever get hosed by @ShopTSC not having in stock what they promised, and it's going to ruin Christmas morning?
