A South African can visit 101 countries visa free. Even Kenyans & Ghanaians have visa free access to about 70 countries.
Everything good about Nigeria is becoming history before our own eyes!!!!
Nigeria’s Passport Plunges From 90th To 181st Position. Visa-Free Access Falls From 44 Destinations To 24
Nigeria’s passport has reportedly dropped to 181st out of 196 countries in the latest IziVisa Passport Ranking Index, down from 90th position in July 2026.
According to data published on IziVisa.com, Nigerians can travel to 24 countries visa-free, obtain visas on arrival in 16 countries and access 43 countries through electronic visas.
The report highlights a decline in Nigeria’s visa-free score from 44 destinations in July to 24 in the latest IziVisa ranking.
IziVisa explained that passports are ranked according to the number of destinations their holders can access without obtaining a visa beforehand, including visa-free entry, visas on arrival and electronic visas.
The United Arab Emirates leads the 2026 ranking, with access to 185 of 198 destinations through the three travel categories, while Switzerland occupies second position. Luxembourg, Malta, Denmark, Spain and Finland also feature prominently.
Separately, the July 2026 Henley Passport Index placed Nigeria 90th out of 199 passports, with visa-free access to 44 destinations. The index, published by Henley & Partners, assesses passports against 227 travel destinations using data from the International Air Transport Association.
Among African countries, South Africa ranked 49th globally, with access to 101 destinations, followed by Botswana in 61st position with 81 destinations. Morocco ranked 67th with 71 destinations, while Kenya placed 68th with 70.
Ghana ranked 70th, with access to 67 destinations, while Nigeria shared its position with the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Turkmenistan in the Henley ranking.
However, the IziVisa and Henley indices use different methodologies and coverage, meaning their rankings are not directly comparable.

Today, we remember the lives lost on 20 October 2020. We mourn them and stand with the families whose lives were forever changed by the struggle against police brutality.
Six years later, we must ask: what has truly changed?
From the use of police to disrupt my declaration into the ADC to the poor welfare and housing conditions facing officers, we must confront a system that too often fails both citizens and those entrusted to protect them.
Police officers deserve dignity and decent working conditions. Citizens deserve protection, accountability and freedom from intimidation. Neither should be sacrificed for political interests.
We honour the #EndSARS victims by continuing to demand a Lagos and a Nigeria where institutions serve the people, and power is exercised with responsibility.
May their sacrifice never be in vain.

BREAKING: Elon Musk says SpaceX, $SPCX, and Tesla, $TSLA, have formed special committees to discuss a potential merger between the two companies.
"I do think there’s a lot of merit to combining the companies as we are pretty much in the superintelligence singularity, and there’s a lot to be gained from cooperating," Musk said.
"Do I think it would be a good idea? Yes, but at the end of the day, the shareholders have to be supportive of this," Musk said.

ELON MUSK TARGETS 13 GW OF AI COMPUTE BY 2027, WITH 440,000 NVIDIA VERA RUBIN GPUS IN A SINGLE TRAINING CLUSTER
Musk says SpaceX is on track to bring roughly 200,000 $NVDA GB300 GPUs online per month for the remainder of 2026, with deployments continuing at a similar pace next year, primarily using Vera Rubin.
The company expects to have 2.5-3 GW of compute online by the end of 2026, with another 10 GW potentially coming online in 2027.
Musk also plans to have a 440,000-GPU Vera Rubin training cluster operational by the end of Q2 2027.
To support the expansion, SpaceX is targeting an additional 20 GW of power and cooling infrastructure next year.
Musk said there is a “non-zero possibility” of exceeding 20 GW of operational AI compute in 2027, although he acknowledged the probability remains small.

Standard Chartered and Citi banks are already in Nigeria.
They are UK and U.S headquartered respectively. Please what did they add to the Nigerian economy?
JP Morgan already had a representative office in Nigeria before now. They are only just applying for a commercial banking licence.
It's easy to anyone who has eyes that JP Morgan being in Nigeria is to the benefit of the ruling class -- a way to borrow more, create inroads to international markets, for their own benefits.
Ask anyone around you who has a Citi Bank account, your guess is as good as mine. Be wise and vote wisely.

$AMZN AWS is reportedly set to receive ~$5B in $NVDA GB300 racks with deliveries running around $3B per month even before some data centers have enough power to turn them on.
That says a lot about how strong AI compute demand remains when Amazon is willing to secure billions in GPUs before it can even use them rather than risk waiting for capacity later.

FROM PARIS TO THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT: NIGERIA’S FUTURE IN FOCUS
Following our dialogue at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) office in Paris yesterday, we made a one-hour stop at a Nigerian restaurant, where we met and interacted with fellow Nigerians before departing for Strasbourg. We arrived at 12:15 a.m. today, Tuesday, 20 October.
By 9:30 a.m., we were at the European Parliament, where we held a series of constructive meetings with Members of the European Parliament representing various committees. Our engagements continued until 6:00 p.m.
Throughout these discussions, I reiterated that Africa is a continent of immense potential, the world’s second-largest continent by both land area and population, richly endowed with natural resources and blessed with a vast, youthful population capable of driving production, innovation and economic transformation.
I called for stronger European support for Africa’s development, particularly Nigeria’s, through partnerships that promote good governance, strengthen democratic institutions and protect the integrity of our electoral processes.
Africa needs leaders with the vision, competence and integrity to unite our people, confront corruption decisively, tackle insecurity and reduce inequality. These are essential foundations for building prosperous, stable and inclusive societies.
Africa must not be seen merely as a continent of needs, but as a continent of opportunities, solutions and possibilities. Nigeria, in particular, has the human and natural resources to play a significant role in global development.
Our future must be built on responsible leadership, productive partnerships and a shared commitment to human dignity and prosperity.
A better Nigeria is POssible. A New Nigeria is POssible! -PO
