Part of the Decked Out EDH team, as well as an intelligent goofball. While I don’t actively follow all that much content, seeing him pop up in my feed always gets me to stop doom scrolling for a bit.

It has been an honor to get to know these two, and to see them work together in person and really bring up the community.

Arne @Huschenmtg
This is one of the cards that defined and dominated Standard when it was still legal, as well as defined Arne as a player, according to his own “the 9 MTG cards that made me” trend that went around a few months ago.

I love this art for one of my favorite cards of all time. It’s kinda crazy to me that this card is legal in Standard, and it hasn’t seen an ounce of play. Oh well, it’ll be a part of my Cube for a very long time!

I kept running into him over the weekend, mostly around the Pro Tour areas, and few more times while waiting in line to say hi to other content creators.

I don’t think there is a better card in my Cube than this one to get signed by the owner of the company! Ironically, if this card itself was a token, you could go infinite!

He's a great friend who I've known for about a year, and in that time, we have done several drafts together. Before he moved to Chicago, I wanted him to sign his favorite card in my Cube.

Last year at Magic Camp hosted by @adamfischer71 and @DanaFischerMTG, we drafted my Cube at the end the night, and @Nathansteuer1 saw his card, then swapped it out for a signed version. I didn't even have to ask!
Even though building and maintaining a Cube is a lot of work, I am constantly reminded how rewarding it is when you get to play it with friends.
After the official Magic Camp Day 1 activities, some of us stayed later for a fun cube draft! Our friend @islikaplan drove down and brought his great Arena-based cube, & we were joined by friends @DuncanCantDie & @m1ssberyl to cube with @NicoleTipple & @Nathansteuer1 observing!
I’ve always been the person to tease my Commander friends about playing an inferior format (cause Cube is the best), but this guy has persuaded me. I love lands, graveyard strategies, and sacrifice themes. Here’s all of it, at once.
What have I become?
I pulled a surge foil Kefka over the #magiccon weekend and didn’t care for it, so I traded it for an alt art Vivi. I’m very happy with that trade, and he’ll go in my Cube for sure.

If you don't support AI art why do you support art theft?
The number of sweatshirts, rugs, ext I see being sold with Magic art printed on them (poorly at that, won't last) and THOUSANDS of mtg people following and commenting "do this card next" makes me throw up in my mouth. The art of this game is what inspires me to cosplay—and you are ripping off the artists. ARTISTS. Which you know already have to fight for their jobs and spaces at conventions. Come on, community. Do better.

@islikaplan gets caught playing commander? I don’t even know him anymore…
I convince my playgroup to never have kids by bringing my own to game night.

MagicCon Chicago predictions
We’ll get a decent amount of early preview cards for Tarkir Dragonstorm, specifically Sarkhan and Ugin.
We’ll get a few more previews for Final Fantasy.
A couple of Secret Lairs for Final Fantasy, with different bundles focusing on different games.
We’ll get some art pieces for Spiderman. Maybe they’ll even kick it off with that meme of “I need pictures of Spiderman!”
A location for Worlds at the end of the year, which won’t be Vegas.
Locations for future Spotlight Series, which will hopefully feature Pioneer.
