Gisèle Pelicot is on the stand today and asked about her decision to continue using the surname "Pelicot".
Gisèle explains that when the trial began her children were "ashamed" of the name.
She adds: "I have grandchildren who are called that.
"Today, I want them to be proud of their grandmother.
"My name is known across the world now. They shouldn't be ashamed of carrying that name.
"Today we will remember Gisèle Pelicot."
Yes we will. What a woman.

I don't know how I missed the news about Biera closing, but I am absolutely devastated. The canary in the coal mine has stopped chirping long ago, it's solidly dead.
Love your local restaurants and food service businesses. They might not make it.

My favourite Murray Sinclair quote: “The truth will set you free. But first it will piss you off”.
#MurraySinclair lived a life of love, justice, purpose and meaning. He led Canada through a process of truth and reconciliation, with great wisdom and power. Thanks to him we can no longer see our past, present and future in the same way. As a great poet put it “he left the vivid air signed with his honour”.
Who else is out enjoying the first @WinterCityYEG snow of the season?! ❄️☃️❄️ #yegwinter
This article sums up quite nicely how busy women’s brains are, all the time, making decisions about their (perceived) safety. It’s exhausting. bbc.com/news/articles/c0qd17…

This is the most mind-blowing book I've read this year.
It's written by an ex-Stanford doctor and ex-food lobbyist who expose the medical, food, and pharmaceutical industry.

The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart govts do the math on investing in better mobility.
Let’s be clear — it wastes public money to NOT do it.

We’d like to announce that while we are not a hotel, we are a concept of a hotel.
